Domino World is such a special event to me, and everyone on the team. It just didn't feel right not to collaborate again this summer, despite the limitations. I had such a fun this past week and a half, it definitely evoked the feeling of a real live event. Building with my best friends, working out transitions, bouncing ideas off each other, and having fun each night. As far as the team dynamic, I think it's the perfect group. The obvious talent and artistry of each builder aside, we all get along really well, and we all share a very similar artistic vision for the project as a whole. I'm so proud of the team this year for overcoming the difficulties of a "virtual live event," and for creating truly stunning works of art in such a short amount of time. The final video turned out so much better than I could have imagined, and I think this group of builders was especially well-suited to pull it off. That said though, I can't wait to (hopefully) be back at the Hands-On Museum next summer, and I especially can't wait to see you all again. Here's to Domino World 2021!

Domino World has always been something that I’ve looked forward to, kind of like an annual holiday. It’s more to me than a domino/machine event; it’s an escape from reality where you just hang out with some of the few people in the world who understand this extremely unique and uncommon hobby. It was disappointing how the event wasn’t able to take place normally this year, but I’m absolutely amazed by what we were able to do in its place. The ingenuity and brilliance of both the dominoes and machines are absolutely mind-blowing, and this video is definitely a video that will stand out in the machine community throughout the years. I’m thankful that we were able to do this and that I was able to participate, and I’m really hoping that we’ll all be together again in Ann Arbor for 2021!

This is probably the best screen link collaboration I've ever seen! Each clip is so large and so creative :D Stuff like this is a great replacement for real domino events.

Everything about this was absolutely stunning! The artistry, ingenuity behind each trick, color combinations, and overall creativity is so good. What an amazing collaboration! Also omggg you literally moved an entire domino wall as part of the chain reaction :O So happy that it worked as well! The excitement is real! Great music choice as well - I think the chill vibe is very fitting for these types of videos.

Wow, even though I wasnt able to see it in person this year, Domino World 2020 was still a truly mesmerizing event. Each and Every clip astounded me with the incredible ideas that were used, especially during the finale, that trick with the moving domino wall was insane!!! Great job to all the builders, who were able to create such a stunning experience online, this is possibly my favourite domino collaboration I have ever seen! The end setup reminded me of a MarDominoes setup, it was absolutely amazing!! You guys should be extremely proud of what you created, cause this was so good!! I can't wait until domino world 2021, whever it be in person, or another online one like this cause either way I would still have a great time, and I'm sure others will too

I am absolutely in love, and still honestly a little in shock from that first watch. This video by itself carries everything to be expected of an event build, plus the innovative personal styles of every builder, plus the feeling of virtual unity pulled off really well with a screenlink format. I'll leave the comments about the machines on their respective close-ups, but here are my thoughts about the domino segments: Twig- Your setups brought out the different aspects to your style so well, with the first one's structures and elevation changes and the second one's domino tricks and super compaction. In the first setup, I love the diagonally tilting shelf so much and I haven't even begun thinking about how it works - I'm still caught up wondering why it's allowed to exist! As the only big hybrid trick in your section it stands out so well. What also stands out is the structures at the end, since the clip is so controlled up to that point and finally unleashes and falls the rest of the structures all at once. In the second setup, it's so compact but the scenery is so distinct. That tree design is beautiful and it's so nice to see another night sky-esque design in the wall. Also, the final domino is a 2-0 which is a nice touch :) (Edit dUdE I was so caught up in everything I forgot the clip you built even before those two setups but holy shit it's beautiful) DaksDominos- Toppling the line and the speedwall at the same time is a domino concept I've never seen before. It defies the typical trick theme where the different components of the trick serve to help each other but it's so deliberate and perfectly done. It's the domino equivalent of a ball rolling down a path rigged to destroy itself! Your second clip is the best visual shot in the whole video - every part of that clip is in sync and it falls perfectly! It can be a little nagging if a setup like that falls and leaves a single tower or something still standing, which is why the perfect falldown of that clip has the biggest payoff. bpdoles- Your freehanded sections are all so solid, and your big ideas blew me away. There are so many shapes in the center structure and it's still built so cohesively and complemented by all the smaller shapes in the fields around it. Such a cool design choice! But you moved a domino wall as well and I'm now stuck wondering how that trick is also allowed to exist?? It's such a far-fetched concept that I'm sure crossed every builder's mind at one point, and you're finally the mastermind to have figured it out. Insane. The last chain of structures is so reminiscent of the endings of Domino World 2018 and 2019 and it was really nice of you to end your setup that way. And your reaction made me so happy, it's the only acceptable reaction imo. Thank you so much for hosting this year, I hope this year's video gets just as much recognition as the years prior! Idk what else to say. You all obviously work so well as a team and it's so cool seeing what you come up with every year. The watch party was a treat! I'm so happy to have you as friends and as inspiration.

WOW! This is hands down the best Domino World so far! I'm so impressed with your adaptability towards making Domino World the best it can be, and I believe that you have accomplished that goal! For the Machine Builders: I loved the creativity and the way you used different objects to create a neat chain reaction! Great job! For the Domino Builders: The colours were outstanding! Your choice of tricks were so well thought out and created a nice flowing setup throughout!!

Wow. That was great, every builder with there own style in domino building and invention making was fun to watch, loved Bpdoles clips, the colors, just wow. And then Twig, love how he could do his compact style. The invention makers, LIKE HOW!!??? This was really great guys.

I’m so glad this awesome event worked out this year! Every builder did an outstanding job, and each person’s section compliments the others in a way that makes the overall video a masterpiece. Well done, and see you next year!

Oh my Domino.... where do I begin? I seriously want to compliment everyone on this! As always the machines always amazes me, tricks you either dont expect or goes in a very new way. I just dont know what to say on those. Loved too many moments, I just cant pick a favorite because the skill level are all the same. Really every builder gets the same applause from me, I really love the balance that everything just fit together, and there was nothing "weak" as a tech. Very detailed, very tight, very statifying I can imagine, and just an awesome video. What a great idea of this event to have this alternative. You literally took my breath and many times was I shouting "no way, oh are you kidding me? thats awesome, that is just plain awesome". Just clapping here, I dont know what else to say on this. Absolutly awesome!

WOW ! That is not what we except to see for a domino world but that was so I N T E N S E ! Your final setup was mind blowing and there was NO FAIL ! At 6:07, after that I realized what happened I was like NO WAY !!!! Daks dominos one was very nice too (2:37). The machine clips were also so nice with the multi-use objects ! Congrats everyone !

I'm going to leave separate comments on all the machine but I'm so glad you guys were still able to do Domino World this year. With all the chaos happening it's nice you were able to still come together and make this fantastic video. All the machines were flawless and the dominoes were really incredible as well. This has been a definite highlight of the year so far and I'm glad that this was able to happen :)

Amazing screenlink! So many brilliant ideas. 2:40 was beautiful (probably my favourite), 0:49 had me wowing, 1:28 was so cool, the structure trigger at 1:40 was brilliant, and I loved the bi-fall-down structure at 5:22. While it's a shame there wasn't the live event, I feel like you created a brilliant production that really took advantage of the format of collaborative screenlink. Your styles are all showcased, yet harmonize together, and you were able to take risks that paid off for an astounding video.

WOW!!! This turned out soooo much better than I had envisioned it (even though my expectations were super high to begin with). Uggghhh where do I even begin?? I will leave individual comments regarding machine sections on the close-up videos, but I must say that seeing everyone build in their build spaces for some reason gave me so much nostalgia back to like 2015/2016 when collabs were much more common. With the virtual limitations, these sections absolutely knocked it out of the park with regards to tricks, concepts, and transitions. So many of the tricks completely caught me off guard and made me actually yell out loud. As for the dominoes, GOOD GOD, SO BEAUTIFUL. Domino World has always been the best event for dominoes in my opinion, but the non-event setting really gave you all the ability to experiment and try things that are more on the risky side, and it definitely paid off. Every single setup was the perfect blend of beauty and creativity, with lots of machine-esque elements sprinkled throughout. My favorites had to be the tilting-sliding plank at 1:33 (the way the changing of weight was used was so elegant), the absurd tilting box at 2:28, the ENTIRETY of 4:51, and of course 2:37 because just look at it. I would also like to mention that there is something about the ending of this video that hit me pretty deep. Something about the way the music was coming to an end and hearing all of you guys celebrate was so awesome to hear, and it reminded me much of the way I felt at Reactica 2018. Feeling that again was super special and made me tear up a little due to the current circumstances of events (and also due to me not being able to go to Reactica last year). I've mentioned before that Domino World has always been an event that I have so badly wanted to participate in, but the timing has always been bad for me. Hopefully going to college will change that because I would absolutely love the opportunity to collaborate with all of you and finally meet j o l e y a n t h a. If the opportunity ever arises with museum funding and availability, let me know! Domino World is quickly becoming the next ISM! I'd like to commend you all on your hard work with putting this video together. It's been an absolute pleasure getting to vibe with you all in the discord server and hearing about all of your ideas. Well done!!

I must say this is really one of the best domino videos of the year so far I've been thinking about this but didn't expect it to happen cause of the cough cough. You guys never have given up and this is a well made replacement I wish I joined a domino event

From Alex and Derek's structural projects, Conrad's Incredible compactness, Brady's artistic designs, and all of the machine builders continuation of their innovation on rube-goldberg machines, this makes this video one of the best screenlinks in a while, if not THE best. Some things I'd like to point out: -2:37 That spiral clip by Alex and Derek, on point. -6:09 That moving wall by Brady, nothing I've ever seen before! And your color combos, I'm still amazed at how good you are at finding great ones. -EVERYTHING!!! As I said, one of the best screenlinks EVER! Here before it goes viral! :)))

If i was a judge (Inspired from Miss Universe) and scored that show: It is so 10/10!!!!!! The Dominoes and machines were so great, that it was the longest Domino World Ever: Quarantine Edition!!!!! Also, the colors remind me of Miss Universe Swimsuits and Evening Gowns, wow!!!!! The topple of this project is so slaying, this is such a masterpiece. Great job domino builders!!!!!!!
