Reminds me of cross county lanes in Yonkers, when it was wood alleys. Lanes #.1&2 Had zero clearance on lane#1. If they alleys were flying, the wall made it impossible to make 10 pins in a comfortable fashion. A back up ball/ or clockwise rotation with right handed release was helpful to make the 10 pins on the roast. The lefties had same problem on lane#10. Also, downstairs were higher scoring, but no clearance on walls to shoot corners on the fry!!! A Great Guy bought the place, and did a great job putting in 20 new Synthetic lanes/ 20 new machines and new bar/ lounge/ restrooms/ snackbar. JOHN K.( RIP) Was a great guy and a PBA bowler. John loved the Karaoke on Fridays & Saturdays and would sing " That's Amore" every week and Sang it Well.🙏
Kudos to the lefties on lane 1. The wall on the left always bothered my bowling scores. All mental of course but my scores probably were 20% lower on lane 1 than other lanes.
