Maruti Suzuki India today opened bookings for the upcoming fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift for a token amount of Rs 11,000.
The Maruti Suzuki Swift was initially introduced in the country in 2005. Till now, it has sold around 3 million units in the domestic market. The Maruti Suzuki Swift garnered sales of 195,321 units in FY24. While no hatchback from any rival brand could come closeThe car is exported to multiple international markets as well.
Maruti is set to launch the new Swift in India on May 9, which is a generational update the hatchback is receiving after six years. With bookings already open, here is a list of the top six things that make the new Swift better than the outgoing model.
8.POWERTRAIN
First and biggest change is the core the engine.On paper you will feel very bad.4 cylinder is converted in to 3 and power output is reduced
Powertrain The upcoming 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift will be powered by a new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder,Z12E engine naturally-aspirated petrol engine with 80.46bhp and 111.7Nm of torque. In comparison, the outgoing version of the Swift is powered by a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, K-Series engine naturally-aspirated engine with 88.5bhp and 113Nm of torque.which is proven and reliable

The difference is in power output at what rpm and the latest gen said to be more punchy in lower rpms.But still it is a 3 cylinder unit need to check vibration levels
A three-cylinder engine is smaller, lighter, and has fewer moving parts, which can return better fuel efficiency
7,FUEL EFFICIENCY
The upcoming new Maruti Suzuki Swift hatchback is a lot more fuel-efficient than the outgoing version of the Swift hatchback with a fuel-efficiency figure of 25.72km/l. In comparison, the fuel-efficiency figure of the outgoing Swift hatchback is rated as 22.56km/l.This will be a major selling point for already selling swift also modern day petrol suvs are drinking more fuel and returning avg of only 13-15..but swift can easily give 20+ real world mileage
6.DESIGN EXTERIOR
Despite no change in the overall design philosophy, the styling of the next-gen Swift is sharper than before. At the front is a new bumper, a redesigned radiator grille with the Suzuki emblem now placed on top of the front bumper instead of between the grille, and new headlamps and fog lamps.
