In the age of weird non lawsuit lawsuits I took it upon myself to review two of the alternative 800T* film stocks, one from Reflx Lab (800Tungsten) and Amber Tungsten 800
The video is reviewing my mediocre photography and includes my thoughts on which is the best film stock to purchase if you are looking for that aesthetic.

I also really agree with your analysis on Ambers film. 🎥 very only had good success when shooting it at the beach during golden hour

Hmm maybe a try at iso 500 and Ecn developed. 🤷🏻 might be worth to check it out.

Great real world review. With the price of film and processing I don't want to play "Russian roulette" with film. If I wanted to do that I would shoot expired film because that's what the Amber looked like. Reflx Lab looked pretty good except for the static. The Getty Museum shots were great. Both of them.

Thanks for this, I've been looking for alternatives because all my homies hate cinestill

I'm currently half way through a roll of 800T. Not sure whether to shoot the rest during the day or go for a walk at night. Anyone use this film?

Last time I had a roll of 800 (not T), I was much happier with my indoor and night/evening shots than the daytime grainy ones. Try some of both and see how you like them.

I have shot it once on both inside and outside, I enjoyed my outdoor and naturally lit indoor shots more than my night shots and indoor shots with lots of artificial lights. Just wasn't a fan of the halation.

I personally enjoy it most in daylight with a lot of green nature and evening sun. which definitely defeats the purpose but oh well
