Tassos Manolas .Athens Greece.Thank You for telling us your problems with the new Dorado.I wish You have nice trips with your new Hobie. I already have the little one of Hobies the SPORT and is amazing boat for its size .thank You so match.
Thanks for the video but I am still buying one with some foam rubber gasket both your hatch issues are fixed and the steering issue has been fixed and I don’t like anything about the hobies and salt water eats stuff so after every trip it should get a full wash down with soap and water but looking at your battery box I don’t believe you clean it every time your cables wouldn’t get that rusty that’s neglect and the dorado isthe of the most stable boats on the market probably user error if you flipped the boat not trying to bash you by any means so don’t take it as that but if you watch any videos on this thing everyone loves it but thanks again for the video your concerns mean a lot to the people of this community keep the videos coming hope you have better luck with the next boat thanks man Castawaychris
Thanks Robert, it was the one I was considering. I capsized on a beach where a neighbor and his teenage son drowned, only God saved me. So if that kayak holds water, it’s a no for me.
Get Hobie PA 14 360. The difference between the two drives are the Hobie fin are much larger than the small prop on the Feelfree Dorado drive. I have the Hobie 360 it will take you there and bring you back.
I am wondering if the problems of water in the front hatch and hull are due to the transducer lowering/raising method. How sealed is that penetration through the hull? and the cord alley for the finder wires to the head unit look like it would be really hard for water to NOT get into that compartment. I think the same with the battery. The back side of that cover where the hinge is has a good size gap under it. In Saltwater that metal is growing freckles over night. I do think there are a few design flaws and I agree with you that this may be a "pass" on this model. At least until they address these issues.
Bro...i own one too....have the same issues. Will not recommend it too. Rudder cable ripped the first day, steering came loose on the waters. Rudder does not deploy
Other than being heavy. I have not had the same issues. The kayak didn't flip on you. You flipped the Kayak. You're bringing salt water in the boat. Precautions should be taken. It's a toy, not an investment. It didn't put you in bad situations, you did that to yourself. Come on man, common sense.
