Don’t Have Independent Contractors

There is a big difference between employees and independent contractors and it's up to you to know and abide by the laws around this. Ignorance and contracts don't trump federal law. PLUS my opinion on why employees are a better business decision anyway.

We were taught about this in school. We were told never to hire Independent Contractors. Some businesses in our area still don't run legally and some have been caught by the IRS and these businesses owe so much in back tax and pay that they had to shut their doors. Not worth it!

I always agreed with you on this....people are so quick to tell you to do contractors and I get it it's less taxes but the legal protections and the ability to control protect your business and it's brand integrity is priceless.
