The way I was taught about stalagtites and stalagmites was that tights come down. Succinct but rather dated now. :)

The problem with the fenris claws is that even though they have a 6x parry bonus, their block armor is only 5 so you get 30 block armor on a parry which is much worse than the iron buckler which has a block armor of 70 on a parry

You may not have the pickaxe maneuver, but at least you have the dodge roll - which I have NEVER mastered.

Hey I appreciate that! I basically learned the timings for a specific video on stone golems

innuendo and out the other

Innuendo? In YOUR endo! I love how the worst of it from you two is always accidental though! BTW, the pickaxe vs golem thing is fiddly as all hells and not really worth it much of the time, but you can make it simpler if you can parry them, simply parry, then immediately switch to pick and get a hit in (works best with 2 or more people though). Of course that assumes you can parry without mutual stagger and you've managed to wedge yourself against a rock or terrain or something to stop the knockback pushing you too far away. You're probably better off just going for the mace and dodge approach.

The ol macey dodgey/blocky method definitely seems preferred to me. I'd love to get the pickaxe method to work properly but oh well

Watching this, reminded me how bad Frostner is against Golems, because of their immunity to Frost dmg and slowdown. The problem with Frostner, compared to other mixed dmg weapons, is that it does predominantly frost dmg, and only it's frost dmg increases with upgrades, while for most other mixed dmg weapons, the primary and upgrading dmg is physical and elemental dmg is just secondary. Fully upgraded Frostner does just barely more dmg than a wooden club, to a Golem, but uses much more stamina. It is probably the weapon with the worst dmg/stamina vs Golems. Personally I like to hit Golems in the crotch with the Iron Mace strong attack. With a high enough clubs skill, that staggers them in one hit. At least on normal difficulty. And as soon as I get Demolisher, I like to come back, to bully some Golems. I never liked the Pickaxe on Golem method. Imho, it is more of a wonky gimmik mechanic. Also most players not having a high pickaxe skill, doesn't help, either. If you grind that and your jump skill to very high levels, it works slightly better. A additional problem with the pickaxe is, that the ground is a valid target for it, making it often hit ground, instead or at the same time. But I got curious, what might be the best weapon, besides of clubs. So I adjusted for all the resistances and immunities of the golem, and ... ... comparing only fully upgraded base dmg (not considering DPSec or DPStamina) the tier list would be: 19 Flint Spear 23 Abbysal Razor 26.5 Bronze Sword and Spear 28 Silver Knive 30 Wooden Club 31.5 Bronze Atgeir 35 Frostner (Golems immune to Frost dmg AND the slowdown effect!) 36 Flesh Rippers 36.5 Iron Sword, Ancient Bark Spear 40.5 Stagbreaker (slow) 41.5 Iron Atgeir 46.5 Silver Sword and Fang Spear and Finewood Bow with Obisidan arrows 51.5 Huntsman Bow with Obsidian Arrows 53 Bronze Mace 56.5 Blackmetal Sword 54 Draugr Fang with Obsidian Arrows 61.5 Blackmetal Atgeir 73 Iron Mace, Iron Sledge (slow) 81.5 Porcupine 96 Iron Pickaxe (slow attacks and awkward hitbox) So interestingly, since many players highest combat skill is bows, if one has no Mace (and club skill) attacking with a Bow, e.g. the Drauger Fang and Obsidian Arrows (or the best available arrows) would put you not only at a safer range, but also deal above average dmg to Golems, compared to other weapons. Even the Finewood Bow does alright. Obviously for bows, the dps depends much more on skill, than for other weapons, because in addition to increasing average dmg, bow skill also improves draw speed. In your situation your Fang Spear, as well as your Finewood Bow with Obsidian Arrows, would have dealt more dmg than Frostner (assuming equal skill). And your Iron Sledge would probably have been the best choice. All of them would have used far less stamina per dmg, than Frostner.

I appreciate the due diligence. I was using the weapon I had. Ideally I would have used an iron mace but I didn't have it. I made a whole video on this where I compared pickaxes to the iron mace and mace is much better for sure. If I remember correctly the iron mace would nearly but not completely be better than the porcupine since the porcupine splits its damage with pierce, which golems are resistant to. kinda like the frostner. And I didn't even think about my sledge because of how slow it is to swing, so id get three hits in with my frostner to one sledge hit. Spear didn't even come to mind either! To a stone golems, here's the damage breakdown I'm getting: Iron mace - 73 blunt damage at level 4. 100% applied. Porcupine - 50 blunt, 63 pierce. at level 4. =31.5 pierce. Total of 81.5 damage applied. 8 better than the iron mace. Not huge but good. Frostner - 35 blunt, 58 frost, 20 spirit. At level 4. Literally only gonna be 35 blunt damage since it's immune to both other damages. And you're right. A level 4 wooden club offers 30 damage. This is basically a slightly better wooden club to a stone golems. Hah! Fang spear - 93 piece at level 4 (wow!). Half that and you get 46.5. But you're hitting quick so this definitely would have been a better stone golem choice compared to the frostner! Thanks for the breakdowns and thoughts!

I forgot, is this hard or normal difficulty? 3:30 reminds me of when I used to be in a group and one of the guys, whenever he got surrounded, would just log off and have us deal with the enemies xD.
