I own two 9k rings bought in 2016 and 2018 when travelling in Australia! Australia sells a lot of 9k gold where as N America's standard is a minimum 10k. They are still beautiful and shiny and so well made and comfortable. I paid so little for them at the time which were under $50. I certainly can't complain about that.
Thanks, Braden - great video here. I think 9k is popular in some European countries? Either way, agree with what Braden says - 14k or higher and never hollow - these are good jewelry rules to live by! Thanks, Rich.
Been thinking about buying jewelry from jacoje but the no refund policy throwing me off and i like to see my jewelry in person sometimes the gold not the same color for some reason even though there the same purity
9k gold is a standard here in the UK for some reason, majority of jewellers and goldsmiths sell 9k and then 18k, but it is super rare to find 14k in UK. With the 9k after you clean it it becomes nice and golden shiny again
My first Jacoje chain was white gold as well. I know people always say you gotta get the rhodium replated every couple years, have you done that or noticed any yellowing otherwise? Mine is so tiny I think I'll just keep wearing it and if it yellows so be it lol
@@elindspno yellow yet after 7 years. I try & rinse it off after going to the beach or pool. I was a little concerned with wearing a pendant on it & sliding up & down. But no problems with that after 6 years. My wedding ring has a little yellow after 9 years. But only on the bottom palm side. Probably from working & hitting stuff. They say it depends on how long it’s dipped for & quality. My chain & pendant is from Jacoje. My ring is not.
To everyone reading this I hope you are having a great day. You are cared for and you matter. I wish the best for you and everyone you love. Thank you jacoje for your videos always entertaining and fun to watch. Hope you and your family are doing well.
Most of the mall jewelers in New Zealand sell mainly 9k gold, even for engagement rings. Hence when i wanted a chain i got it from you guys! I love 14k rose gold.
@ryanblanchard2508 neither should 10k or anything technically under 50% pure gold, but key word is "gold" as long as not listed as "real" it's speculative since gold is technically a color as well... look at "gold" spray paint, there's no real gold in there but everything has to be labeled somehow it's just if company's mis represent themselves I think that's the issue
@beezeal2042 yeah I get the point you’re making but when we’re talking precious metals and jewelry, there should be a higher standard and the general public should be presented with this information by law when making a purchase. Can you imagine how many people don’t know that 10k means only 41.7% of the piece they bought is actually real gold, and the rest is just a mixture of other cheap metals that will oxidize and tarnish over time. Would they still have purchased that piece? Even 14k is sketchy. Gold is an amazing metal and diluting it with garbage is a disgrace. Like cocaine, jewelers cut their gold and still charge you the same price as 24k scrap prices. 🤦♂️
@@enemydown.gamingEven though 18k gold contains more gold than 14k, it's more prone to getting scratched so 14k is better because it's gold percentage is over 50% and is more durable than 18k.
