I forgot to mention wallet and watch! My phone is my wallet for most stuff nowadays but I always take a cash card and some cash &, of course, a watch. #edc #travel #packing #packinglight #lightweight #urban
Thank you for the kind words! I’ve just come to realise over the years that most people waaaaaay overpack for urban travel, myself included in the past 🙂✌️
Hello again, I'm currently on a 5 week tour of UK from Australia, really tried not to overpack but 5 weeks is a long time. I'm regretting dragging a laptop around as I have done almost everything on a phone, also a heavy hiking back pack-my lightweight Kathmandu pack would have been better. SAK is non-negotiable and also a 4-in-1 stanley pocket screwdriver. A travel cushion is a must for me but the heavy, gel-filled version is too big and heavy, I'm going to try the air type next time. I might do a "what I could have left behind" video as a note-to-self sort of thing. Good video, cheers for now. J
Hiya, & thank you for the comments - great to hear how other folks go about deciding what to carry and what not to. I’ve only arrived at my more minimal choices after years of lugging too much gear around. There’s always going to be a certain amount of ‘just in case’ gear (rain jacket, umbrella, etc) but I think most folks actually *need* less than they think. You can always buy cheap clothes and supplies on the road if you find you do need extra stuff I reckon.
Yes I’ve been meaning to do exactly such a video since I got back: just haven’t had time, but I’ll get to it just as soon as I can. It was a good way to travel and worked perfectly well though for the most part 👍
