Hi Grant, What brand and model of enclosure are you showing? Awesome videos. How come you do not mention or better yet link to products in "Description" that you use and describe so well in your project shorts. I may have missed it, maybe you have links somewhere that I can't find. Thanks for the videos, but no product info links is very frustrating for us DIY'ers that want to follow your lead.
I'm thinking and using my tv for my business as outdoor signage. How do I keep the tv from getting to hot or cold even in a tv shield? How does the tv brightness compare to an outdoor led sign? How long of a lifespan would a tv have running 24/7? Any answers to these would be helpful. Thanks
Great question. Tvshield actually makes a more robust signage display cover I think. check out their website. But they also make heaters for inside them with thermostat and there is a fan with thermostat as well so it helps with heat. As for glare, its not going to be great in full sun. If you are investing in signage for your business, i think a full sun outdoor tv with full warranty is your best bet. Sun still causes glare and would be hard to see at angles as well.
As for lifespan of regular tv, may be surprised or may be disappointed. Its all how bad humidity affects it and what not. Id go with full sun outdoor tv or a full sun display with waterproof enclosure
Lol! Got to do what you got to do. Wasnt going to spend what I needed to for a full sun outdoor td so this was only way to have a tv protected this close to the pool! Plus I get better audio integration!
