When I was 15 yrs old I sang in the chorus of La Forza del Destino in Johannesburg in 1976. Bruno Prevedi was singing Don Alvaro - he was STUPENDOUS! Elegant musican, noble phrasing, beautiful colour in the voice and the sound was HUGE! The rest of the cast: Nocolai Zaccaria, Maria Luisa Cioni, Sivana Mazzieri and Lawrence Folley.

Wow, wonderful casts, everybody did their jobs well, I liked the Posa especially, his death scene is one of the bests i've ever heard. Such an ensemble is a rare treasure, many thanks for uploading.

The opera ends at 3:02; the last 30 minutes are some Verdi arias sung by Gencer.

Pity, but this recording cuts out from 2:05:49 to 2:20:10. I'm not complaining, merely bringing it to your attention, Belcantist. Any sound whatsoever from this sublime recording is appreciated.
