Then you simply clicked on the wrong video then? When you say "not very good at playing gongs", you show that YOU have "no idea". Don's lineage goes straight back to Yogi Bhajan, if he's "not very good" then probably no one is. Playing the gong is not an athletic event, it's a sound event combined with the projection of intention.

@@jimlanpheer5281 well maybe an indicator of "not playing well" is playing crudely. The gong offers immense possibilities of subtle, fine textures which are hardly brought out.

Complain, complain, complain,...you must make everyone around you very miserable😅 I had a Gong sound bath with Don many years ago and it was totally amazing, his gong playing was amazing and then he began Overtone singing and it sounded like a 100 or a 1000 Angels all singing at once, very amazing powerful experience, something from another dimension almost. So usually people who have no understanding of things complain and criticise, I would say have the experience and see how you respond, maybe you will get nothing, that could be because you are not ready to get anything so you won't the problem could be you not the person playing the Gong. Try to complain less in your life. Also to all the people here complaining, I will say Don is fantastic and has Inspired and will continue to Inspire many many people and all you pathetic critics will be long forgotten.

Gongs have been in use for thousands of years. They assist in allowing listeners (with someone who uses gongs in an appropriate way) to quiet the mind, go within and expand their awareness/consciousness. Their sound is considered sacred. And it is. Not when it’s overdone however. The explosion of sound healers (more like sound vibration catalysts) all around the world is more than just quackery and some new age fad. All around the world the therapeutic benefits of appropriate gong use is now becoming common knowledge. They’re a means to inner peace and personal insight, not some noisy plates being whacked (though with regard to Don imo that may be the case to some degree!).
