Hey REM - Nice to see and hear about some of your "problem" trees. Something we can all relate to !! Blows my mind that September is just around the corner. The JB I got from Epicenter is coming around and looks much healthier, albeit still small. The JB I got from you is going strong in a 25 gal pot and is about 8 feet tall now. Can't wait to get it in-ground.
@AvocadoTalk
@AvocadoTalk Месяц назад
@@neurocognitive that JB might out grow mine if it's on one of my bacon seeds. Good luck, get it in the ground when you can.

@@AvocadoTalk The bacon I have is super hardy and quite vigorous. I didn't know the JB was grafted onto a bacon seed. Thanks

Sometimes you gotta give up on them. That Don gilogly looks great. Didn’t know Louie’s trees did so well. They propagate their own?
@AvocadoTalk
@AvocadoTalk Месяц назад
@@GrowsGoneWild I've been told they propagate their own but they also get avocados from other growers. Sometimes I'll see la Verne and clonal Brokaw there but most are theirs. I used to hold on a long time but now as long as I got another backup of the same variety, it makes it easy to pull them out. It's all about not wasting time and water on something that will probably die. Thanks for watching!

Great video and update REM! I’m replacing one of my Gem which is struggling to grow with a Queen avocado tree this weekend!

The last avos I planted were seeds that germinated in mulch under my trees just to see if they fruit if not I'll graft em. I'm just doubling up on varities I like, Reed, Pinkerton, Lamb, Wertz. Thx for the update.
@AvocadoTalk
@AvocadoTalk Месяц назад
I wouldn't mind getting a second Pinkerton, the one I have is fruiting and doing good. 2X Reed and Lamb, just 1 Wurtz so far. Thanks for watching!

Your don gillogy is getting girdled by the green ribbon. Cut that bottom ribbon, but it sure looks good.
