I'm a CNA at a long term care facility and I always sing this song too my residents. It always brings a smile too their face and reminds them of better times
I watched a good friend who is a music therapist play this for a veteran with dementia. As soon as she began singing his eyes lit up and he began to sing along. It is one of the best memories of my life.
I've read that when people with dementia hear music from their youth, it actually reverses cognitive decline and they sometimes start getting their memories back.
When I lived on Oahu, I listened to Don Ho back in 1966-1968. Then my dad retired after 20 years in the US Navy. Don Ho was known as the icon of Hawaii.
When I was little my sisters had to play this 45 over & over to get me to take a nap...this became my nickname that my brothers & sisters called me...when I got married my family sang this song to me..love it
I bought this song on cd for my brother's backyard luau... then later my 1st born baby boy would blast this and dance and dance! (don ho passed 4 days before my son's 1st bday, I've just learned, btw) now this song just evokes all kinds of emotions in me... I'm laughing thru tears, here. this song just equals good times, good memories.
Don Ho had a soft, masculine voice. This video was filmed in 1967. With him Hawaiian music became much more popular. His songs like "Hawaiian Wedding Song" and "My Little Grass Shack" became very popular. His voice was similar to the famous Perry Como.
Saw him at the Outrigger in 1999. He called out the name of a man and asked him if he knew his daughter had sent him a message that said her Dad sang Tiny Bubbles in the shower every morning and claimed he sang it better than Don Ho. He had him come up on stage and sing it with him. Great showman.
After hearing tiny bubbles and looking at the pictures of the Islands of HAWAII: NOW! I see why DON HO ( was ) AND OBAMA ARE SO COOL AND COLLECTIVE; Can you imagine how the BRAIN and our D,N.A perhaps can be? IF, we were born and raised in such a PARADISE, instead of an environment of concrete and wires. EVEN if we lived in the suburbs of the main land it, would still be wires and concrete. THANKS FOR THE POSTING: DON HO HAS A GREAT VOICE & PERSONALITY AND TINY BUBBLES IS A BIG GLASS OF BIG BUBBLES OF CHAMPAGNE OF A SONG AND CULTURE.
I always enjoy listening to this song way back when I was growing up. I would have like very much to been able to see him when I was station over in Hawaii in the late 70's but never got that chance.
This song was my mom wedding song and I have this song in my juckbox on vinyl 45 rpm thank God I have a juckbox in my apartment and I play this song on birthday and this song makes me cry because I am thinking about her and I just know that she's in heaven with juses.
LOL... so.... "I like tiny bubbles!... I like 'em, I love 'em... make 'em hurt drill sergeant, make 'em hurt! Hooah!" ;-) And, THANK YOU for your service.
Kept hearing this lovely song on hawalli 5 o search the Internet til i found it this is a wonderful song and a great singer such a pity its only now in 2022 is the first time I've ever heard it
My dad was a performing musician. He would play this song on his ukulele and invite me and my brother up on stage to sing with him (we were very young kids at the time) it was a crowd favorite and will forever make me think of my dad. Can't wait to share it with my kids as they get older
Growing up we played this song over & over while putting up the Christmas Tree. We had the bubble lights on the tree and around the windows, making tiny bubbles. This song was so suited for that time year, never a Christmas tree went up with out this...........
I used to have the 45 of Tiny Bubbles. I saw him on TV back in the 1960s when I was a kid. This song always brings a smile remembering that simple songs with bright melodies are the best.
When I was around 5 years old I remember my dad would play this song on the jukebox at the ski slope and I would dance for everyone in my snow suit and ski boots😁 good times good memories😁

In 1969, my husband and I saw Don Ho while my husband was on a 1 week R & R (Rest & Relaxation) from Vietnam. It was a magical time for us as he had been in Vietnam for 9 months and had to return to finish his 1 year tour and then another 1 year tour. Mr. Ho was a beautiful man and singer. We have pictures of our visit with him. Will NEVER forget it and his kindness! R.I.P. Mr. Ho! 🕊️. “TINY BUBBLES”. 🍾 🥂 🫧🫧 🥰 ❤️
Always watched his TV show. While in Hawaii I took in his show at the club. His 3 year old daughter song this song with him while sitting on the piano. His wife had brought her in to say Good night. Brought the house down.
