I met Don some years ago when he was on stage in London with Guys & Dolls. I'd been a massive fan of Miami Vice & Nash Bridges and so I was determined to meet him. So I rushed to the back door where he came out to greet fans. He was just as lovely, & gentlemanly as you see him in interviews on tv. He didn't disappoint. I called out to him to 'take care Don' as he walked back into the theatre, not expecting a response, but to my delight, he replied: "You too!" God bless you Don xx

Such a wave of nostalgia. Lived in Key West when Miami Vice started. The whole environment felt like you were living in the show. It's good to see Sonny Crockett is such a nice guy.

Treated his fans with complete disdain, had no wish to interact with them in the slightest, not even to give an autograph (no time apparently, such a tight schedule) but plenty of time between filming to arrange parties of his friends to whom 25 selected "models" from "model agencies" were invited, presumably so his friends had plenty choice. So very much a prick, I'd have thought. If he's changed it's because he probably realises he has to at least pretend he has some interest in his fans, now he's 71 and no longer Sonny Crockett (who I like enormously as a character, by the way.)

God bless him and thank U, Mr. Johnson if you're reading this, I hope you know that you saved my life when I watched Miami Vice for the first time, in 1984, because my life went wrong at that time but your show turned my life into a different way. he has gotten very old. you can see it in his face. he was 50 at the end of nash bridges series and he looked 50 back then in 2000. now he looks so old it is a bit scary. all of my childhood idols are getting way too old/dead..

before miami vice,miami and south florida was not a glamourous place.After miami vice it became probably the most sought after destination in the world where people like late fashion designer gianni versace lived.Miami and Dade County owes a debt of gratitude to Philip Michael Thomas ,Don Johnson and the cast and crew of Miami Vice for all they have done for the Dade County area.

I love Don Johnson. I am turning 70 this year. I wish I looked as good as Don. I remember when I was on vacation at Redondo Beach @ 1991 and I walked the strand with my sweater wrapped around my neck. Some puck on roller blades came by me and called me Don Johnson. I was offended at the time, but in retrospect, that was a compliment.

I was one of the MANY who wore the white cotton sport coat with matching pants and the light blue tee shirt when I went out on the town when I was a teenager. Thanks DON! (I FINALLY got my Rolex after ALL of these YEARS…but I gave up smoking the Lucky Strike un-filtered cigs.)
