I am 57 and have been watching Don since i was a kid, his passing has left a empty spot in my heart like i lost a part of my childhood, RIP Mr. Warmth.

For those who ask about how Don repeated the same jokes... They're jokes he created over a half century and I dare anyone to create such a massive library of he uses at just the right moment, without a script, in front of thousands in a theater or millions on TV. He delivers it on-target, with perfect timing and the funniest word choice (which is an art in itself). Still, he made friends with the most legendary entertainers in history and always took out a surprising amount of time and attention to write a letter, kid around with a stranger, praise and inspire young talent, remember names and take genuine interest in other people's families, as well as give a frightening amount of charity. Go ahead and try... You'll come away realizing how great he truly was and how he'll never be replaced.

So for all those who don't understand genius, watch how he says things about people in the audience, calling them by race and the points out the black guy, makes a stereotype about don't get him mad because it might affect sports. I guarantee that almost 99 percent of blacks were falling on the floor in tears at how funny that was. Because he is just so damn funny. He is not mean or racist in his insults and people understand that. Someone else would do it and we can see the maliciousness in it. God bless him.

Craig's show was where I first discovered Don Rickles, and he always stole the show. Rickles had good chemistry with Letterman, but I always got the feeling that when he was with him, Dave became more of an audience member just from sheer awe. But with Craig, he was with someone could super charge him into doing his thing because they both had so much energy.

My god what a legend we have lost, you could really feel Craig's respect for the man and it's a respect that all the best comedians have for him, because they understand what a game changer and pioneer Don really was. My favourite bit of this whole video is everytime Don starts talking about the Indian Casino and Craig immediately starts cracking up and putting his head in his hands knowing what's coming!

My wife and I saw him live at the Orleans in Vegas 9 years ago and laughed the whole show. He got a long standing ovation from the crowd. Don was thw best.

As a kid I used to find Rickles kind of scary. He seemed angry. Eventually I realized that was his schtick and began to enjoy him. Now, I find him totally hilarious!

I watched Don Rickles the whole time I was growing-up, and I never knew how funny he really was until now.
