it was crazy not to accept doctor for surgeon considering how lenient the judges are at other times. Sometimes you have to be very specific and sometimes you don't. I guess.
For one of the super matches, they actually screwed up! The question was BLANK Jeckle, which Gene Rayburn spelled out loud two times. The answer that Richard Dawson gave was 'Doctor" Jeckle. But the correct spelling of that character is "Jekyll". I would have answered Heckle and Jeckle, which is an old cartoon
@@sidnac6545 I just saw a MG where the winning $500 audience match was specifically 'Janice' Joplin, rather than the correct spelling of 'Janis'. I have seen them go by sound over spelling many times.
@@jasonhurd4379 oh really? That's interesting! This was the first time I recall seeing something that was significantly different, but I'm actually glad that it worked out in favour of the contestants 😊
He always was polite unlike Gene. Today gene wouldn’t have maintained that job without being sued. Watch how many times he touches a woman inappropriately, or looks down their dress etc.
RIP Don Sutton Also, can I just say as much as I like watching reruns of this show, the more I watch it, the more I think Gene Rayburn was kind of an ass to the contestants sometimes. Nevertheless, may he RIP as well.
Yes, I love the show, but he was definitely rude at times. I think some of that could be attributed to all of the alcohol that was consumed during the filming of these shows. I think some of them got a little loose-lipped as the filming progressed!
It's Saturday, just after the insurrection and Biden inauguration. There is a lot of stuff going on in the world right now. Give this tribute a while to get noticed by MG and Don Sutton fans before calling it a dud right away.
It is the lowest viewership correct GP but this is a marathon setting but yes alot going on so while it is the lowest viewership, its going to be fine.
I saw an episode where I witnessed Brett cheating while Gene had his back turned..I was disgusted...I can't stand Brett to begin with, she talks too dam much and is always interrupting
3:13:44 It's interesting that everyone thought of a time (a specific month). My mind immediately went to a *place* where it wouldn't make sense to sell Christmas trees, like Israel or Saudi Arabia. Either interpretation makes perfect sense, but I guess you automatically think of one or the other, but not both.
@@sleddy01 Yep, and believe it or not, I've seen all of these episodes before! But I don't usually sit there glued to the TV or computer screen; I put on Match Game in the background while I'm doing other things.
Sorry , but from my experiences with CC it would just leave you wondering what the heck! It is so so bad now that sometimes it doesn't even address the show at hand, there are text that aren't part of the show. Also I've witnessed it being words in that weren't said, and falling so far behind ,even if they are saying the correct words they eventually skip ahead and just forget all about what was missed...it's a sad thing to witness, cause I am not hearing impaired, but my nephew is and also learning disability and I was hoping it would help him learn... Well so you are not missing much. You'd think with today's supposed "high Tec " there would be some sort of app for that...I don't know, maybe there is. Have a good one!
This contestant here known as Trish ,..A.K.A. ON OTHER SHOWS as PAT, Patricia and a couple of other names and on each show she won thousands $$$$ .Problem is we contestants signed a legal contract stating we would NOT appear on other shows within a certain period of time..She blatantly ignored that contract and went on many shows ... i was legally on MatchGame and Password . but IF I had known she would get away with it i may have done the same...
8-28-2022. Ads! Why Google? Don't you have enough billions! Sad that google can't lessen the huge amount of ads. If!! Only I had the power of GOD I would dump all ads from this venue. Sigh.
The '60s version was on NBC and they later destroyed the Match Game thinking they'd just take up space in a store room. The '70s version was on CBS and they preserved those tapes knowing there'd be syndication.
@@lakebay972 That’s is sad. NBC did this with all their game shows from the 1960’s to 1981. Not just game shows. You won’t see too many 1970’s “Game of the Week” shows on MLB Network.
Let me know we're talking Don sutton! It's not like we're talking about Pete rose, Sammy sosa, Mark macsteroid or someone that was kind of a household name. I'm waiting for some tribute to Steve Garvey or Ron say. I mean I know they're both still alive but good God
