A lot of artists are introverts and the fear of painting in front of others can hold them back! I have come to love painting plein air or at my local coffee shop because it's such a great exercise for my painting practice. It helps me paint faster, focus on capturing a scene or feeling of a place efficiently, and keeps me motivated to push through the messy middle stage of a painting when others are watching.
