What TF is EJ smoking? I'm no Lewis fan and have been a supporter of Max but in this instance Max was at fault.. No chance was he stopping and Lewis held his line and evens topped turning in as far as he wanted when he seen Max flying up..

He would normally be able to stop ws he did in the previous lap... the stewards looked at the braking of the previous laps. But on this occasion cause lewis is changing direction max goes on the dirty side if the track where it's less traction. Hence why he locked both wheels. When both wheels are locked you can't turn right or left

@@cupoftea9586 I’m sorry, but a three time world champ should have took this into consideration, in the previous lap or laps he was not so fast or on the dirty line into the corner. Max’s move was the ‘dive bomb’ he’s been so critical of others doing to him. But, for me it’s a racing incident, since both cars were able to continue. What it reveals though is as the gap between the RB and other cars diminishes, or disappears, Max’s moves are having to become increasingly desperate to maintain or gain positions. The luxury he’s had in recent seasons of a dominant car is drawing to a close, and his ability and mental strength is being tested like never before. And frankly, the cracks are appearing.

Max and Lewis are opposites of a magnet, for some reason they always happen to find each other. We saw it in Brazil 2022 and we saw it in Hungary. The main problem in Hungary were the stewards at the beginning of the race when they decided that Norris didn't need to give the space back even if he drove Max of the track. What was Max response, 'So, it is okay to drive others off the track as long you are ahead? Good to know', similar to Norris dive bombing Verstappen in Austria. Max is a quick thinker and uses everything to his disposal to win. Hamilton is very similar in that regard and that is why I love to see them both race...
@chomalen
@chomalen 2 месяца назад
And in Brazil, we saw him admit, for once, his true intentions... Use that as the blueprint for future overtaking attempts that Max makes, in context. One thing I will give him, he makes it really hard to overtake when he's in front (compared to Lewis), but often this is completed unfairly (and then denied by him, as opposed to Lewis who often accepts fault).
@UKDagnar
@UKDagnar 2 месяца назад
Max has been forcing other drivers off the track since he joined Red Bull, it's not something new. It's the sim racer in him where the (lack of) penalties mean you can just expect the drivers who don't want to die or crash out of the race to just give him the space his (torpedo moves) over commits need. Difference with lewis he's had enough of it and calling him on his dangerous moves by not just backing out of the danger every time.

EJ is totally wrong on the Max - Lewis contact. He had no way of completing the move inside of the track and arrived at the contact out of control (massive overspeed and unable to turn the car into the corner). Lewis was in control of his car and left room while trying to take the corner. Where the hit to the cars happened is irrelevant because Max's overspeed put him in front when the contact occurred but he was out of control when behind Lewis.
@mattmartin8366

It’s a double edge sword, Max had locked his brakes and we don’t know whether he made the corner or not? But Lewis didn’t try to avoid the accident either. I think Eddie is losing his marbles. If Lewis was one of EJ’s drivers and Max did that to a driver of EJ, his tone would be VERY different. Does EJ expect Lewis to roll out the red carpet? You can tell EJ wasn’t a great driver, not one with particularly great racing logic anyway.

Looking at the footage of the Hungarian GP, the incident with Max and Lewis on slow motion viewing shows Max locked up before he had reached lewis so if we assume Lewis wasn't there then i doubt Max would have been able to make the turn anyway, indeed he would have run off the track. @Mr-BareMinimum 2 месяца назад
Not sure which footage you saw but max locked up BECAUSE Hamilton started to turn and this was shown clearly by Alex as well. If Hamilton didn't turn max would not have locked up . And for the sake of the argument let's say that max would have locked up and gone deep even if Hamilton didn't turn but that's how the driver on the outside drives. Either he gets pushed wide and in that case max would have gotten the penalty or he could have done the switchback and retain the position.
@shooter7a
@shooter7a 2 месяца назад
@@Mr-BareMinimum well that is an even more absurd explanation. When someone turns in on you, you turn in unless you can't because you have no track. Max never got within a car width of the curb. Race rules are clear. Max was ahead and had the right to choose his line. However doing so he entered too the corner too fast and might not have made the corner at all and Lewis would pass him back. In my opinion it was a racing accident however if one was to blame it should be Lewis. Because max was ahead and Lewis hit him. He knew Max was there, he even saw him because Max was ahead and he still turned in). So it would have been "causing a colllision" (Lewis) vs "forcing another driver off the track" (Max). I get the sense youre a relatively new fan, 6-8 years watching? I say this because im recalling such incidents of the nature you described and theyre a fairly newer trend, moreso since the halo was introduced. Ive seen every race of lewis’s career and from that I can recall, these instances where what you described took place, no doubt theres a couple more I’ve forgotten. Massa : Singapore 11 Albon : Brazil 19 Albon : Austria 20 Verstappen : Britain 21 Alonso : Belgium 22 Russell : Qatar 23 Verstappen : Hungary 24 I would confidently say Austria 20 and Hungary 24 were not his fault, the others were. Consider the following : 1 - the lack of incidents when taking into account the sheer length of his career 2 - how these incidents come about from very marginal circumstances, unlike the very blatant dirty driving we see from other drivers (ie dive bombs, running drivers off road, moving dangerously in braking zone) 3 - in almost all of these incidents lewis responded maturely and put his hands up apologising, something you do not see from many top drivers 4 - observing what many of Hamiltons close rivals have done to him, ie some of Rosberg and Verstappens very dirty moves (two drivers i rate highly in terms of skill js) Taking all of this into account , i would suggest reeling in the criticism of Hamiltons driving and acknowledging his record and driving style is remarkably clean and fair in comparison to most others, especially the likes of other all time greats in Verstappen, Schumacher and Senna, who were venomous in their race craft

Born in '58 and in my days doing a fair bit of racing, I've been at Eur. F1 races since the late 60's, and followed it since then. You've said what is obvious for anyone who can unbiased look. Even to the point that it became M.'s signature move and GR copied it as well. So, while not every single contact, but yes, still the vast majority. It is a ruthless, brutal and very dangerous way of driving, with until now, the pinnacle at Silverstone '21.👴🧐🤮

Yeah no please...."there's no doubt that Max was ahead"...are you kidding me, he's ahead because he locked he's brakes 50m back and slid past Lewis who HAD to keep out of the way. Take Lewis out of the equation and keep Max on the exact same line and braking point and he is still not making that corner, for Eddy to say" weather he was gonna make the corner or not, we don't know" is just about the as stupid as saying it was a racing incident!

I think Max is definitely going to Mercedes for the following reasons, when it comes to new regs and engines Mercedes would be my bet when we’re starting a fresh set of engine rules. My second observation is that Cristian was very frustrated that Honda were coming back into Formula One. This infers, that building engines is not that easy and perhaps he’s a a bit stressed. My last point, is that Max needs to do what Lewis did and he needs to distance his father from the day today racing. Just my humble opinion and you guys are a lot closer and will have far better idea, hence why we all watch you.

Done with this channel, how anyone can justify Maxs divebomb is just plain blinkered bias, he went in far too fast and locked up, end of. Coulthard can never claim to be neutral while employed by RB.

More Lewis bias. If Max could have made the turn, he wouldn't have locked up the front. He wasn't ahead of Lewis when that happened. I know yall hate that Lewis is the Goat of F1. Check all of his records. The jealousy and hatred is egregious. And you obviously weren't watching the race. Max is the ultimate brat when things aren't going his way. You can't avoid someone diving into you like that. Imagine if it was reversed, they would have given Lewis the penalty.

So maybe Eddie can say how a car with all four wheels locked up, he is not in control of his car, Lewis left three cars wide on his right, max would have turned on to the apex if not out of control having dive bombed Lewis, so he hit Lewis, all in a tenth of a second.
@shindisingh1165
@shindisingh1165 2 месяца назад
3:30 ... Lewis would have naturally assumed Max had grip and was going to turn into the apex. It was only until they were alongside each other that Max locked up into a puff of smoke. Lewis's cockpit camera showed he did open the steering up very slightly as a natural reaction to Max locking up... Lewis wasn't trying to use his car as a shield - like Max does.

Not an racing incident. Lewis saw Max coming in the mirrors. He tried to cut him off UNDER BRAKING, Lewis changed his line UNDER BRAKING, that is against the Rules. Lewis caused that accident 100%. According to Max, the only reason he locked up was because Lewis all of a sudden turned UNDER BRAKING and Max braked harder and locked up.

Why, and again why would max move to a losing team when he already is with a strong team? Just to test his skills and make more money? He is already worth more than he could ever spend in a lifetime and I doubt money is a strong motivator for him. I would be astonished if max moves from red bull until the cars become Williams quality.

Bollocks from former F1 driver of his caliber. Sounding like Sky F1 sports . Lewis was already lining for the corner and no way Max was going to make that turn with late braking and avoid touching car 44. If it was some other driver a penalty was on the cards 100%

Max locked up and went straight. Lewis on the other hand, turned into him like he has done so many times. Yes, I know I know, a corner came so Lewis had to turn eventually... but surely you see Max locking up and going straight, right? When's the last time on the road you turned in on a car because there's a corner and you thought they are turning? Let me guess, never? Just because I know he's turning doesn't mean that if I see him NOT turning for whatever reason, I'll just keep turning anyway... what logic is that? It's both of their faults -> racing incident. Can we stop talking about it now?

It's a simple as: Max locked up, lost control and Lewis was within his right to turn into the corner, if any moron thinks he purposely tried to hit Max (and destroy his own race) then they are beyond saving 😅 It's the audacity of Max to say Lando can't divebomb, then tries pulling off something like this literally a few races later. Pick a lane 🤣
@daarom3472
@daarom3472 2 месяца назад
Few things. 1. Yes Max did lock up and lost control. 2. Even so, Lewis had ample opportunity to wait with his turn in to avoid the accident (like Max did in Austria when Lando locked up on the inside. If he saw Max then it was an intentional crash. If he didnt he really needs to check his mirrors more often. 3. If Max hadnt made the corner he'd need to give up the place 4. If Max did make the corner Lewis would have way better traction/speed anyways. 5. Both were lucky to get away relatively unscathed. 6. Yes it's hypocritical from Max, as are pretty much all F1 drivers. Your stance changes so long as you profit.
