All the papers on the wall- that was him writing the show, not just obsessing about Martha. The closeups show a line of voiceover about Darrien from episode 4. When he goes back to Darrien’s, I think he went there to confront him, but lost his nerve. Then when Darrien admitted to seeing the video and tried to get him to come work with him again, he saw the manipulation for what it was and just said what he needed to say to get out of there without provoking Darrien.

I think the word you were searching for was empathize instead of sympathize. I think Donny going back to Darrien's place was more about facing the trauma instead of facing Darrien personally. I think that's why he had such a panic attack after he left. Also, I think there *was* a part of his going back to face Darrien because Donny talked so much about how he could report Martha but not Darrien. I understood it better after I watched the series a second time. I'm so sad these reactions are over! I have SO enjoyed watching you process everything and what you had to say about it! No more apologizing for crying, though! You obviously have a huge heart and your caring nature shines through!!

To me, the ending was a sort of admittance to the similarities between both Donny and Martha. How they are ultimately just insecure people that are dealing with their own sets of trauma. The only difference is, Martha let her delusions control her. She allowed them to turn her into someone malicious and cruel.... So now, Donny has a choice to make: either become someone just as broken as Martha, or find a way to heal.

the fact that he felt like he had to tell his family that he is bi/gay now before telling he got sexually assaulted by a man broke my heart. he went there thinking they were gonna reject him completely 😭

This series definitely hit the emotions inside at least with me so crying is nothing to be ashamed of what this show does is allows you to reflect on your trauma while trying to understand the trauma of others I'm happy this series will help do that all victims deserve to get better or to be understood it's a shame some people are taking it other ways but that's life love your reactions 🌹

So glad you reacted to Baby Reindeer! Found your channel from Shogun and so glad your channel has exploded since then :) I was raped and stalked for many years and was diagnosed with PTSD. It wasn’t until i moved thousands of miles to be away from the stalker to start healing. It was painful watching this show but also cathartic and healing! The empathy you show towards the characters is refreshing! 😊

I just sat down and watched your entire series on this series. I think when something hits a nerve with all of us, it's enjoyable to see that it has the same effect on others. I found myself questioning decisions I had made. Nobody in the show was perfect, no clean Hollywood ending. I loved this series.
