You're being far too kind. Sure, there are many that just blindly believe the so-called experts. However, many more choose the myopia as an excuse to deny God's existence...

The bible teaches a flat earth, yet 400 years ago people chose to believe the "intellectuals". Instead of believing our senses and proof in front of our face. People refuse to comprehend that the deception is indeed STRONG. God warned us about the changing of laws and times by the beast.

As former devout Christian, Noah's flood is just one of the reasons I no longer believe. In so much that this story is based on earlier regional stories, it also would have resulted in the destruction of the planet given what apologists claim. Ask yourself simple questions. Like, how could they possibly have known that the ENTIRE world was covered in water? Doesn't it make more sense that their ENTIRE world was the immediate geographic location in which they lived flooded? Taking all the animals, that they owned, onto a boat to save them from a flood in an area prone to flooding makes more sense, yes? Given the physical world, the logistics of such a story are untenable. Do yourself a favor. Go look into why this story is parable and not factual. Doesn't mean you lose your faith. Doesn't mean you shouldn't believe in God. It means you look at God's world with your eyes open.

@@jamgill9054 You say it doesn't mean you lose your faith or you shouldn't believe in God. Is it ok to believe God created the world and universe? Or that a virgin conceived? Or that Jesus was raised from the dead? If we can believe these things, why can we not believe in a global flood?

I grew up on the Beaches of Washington State, playing in the sands as the tides drained out, and flooded in. I have done many many experiments in my childhood, which "experts" don't do until they've already wasted many years of their lives, and then they do very narrow experiments in their artificial world of labs ... also fun, but missing the other things which happen when water floods, surges, and drains away. As one flies out of Albuquerque NM Westward bound in the morning from the airliner, one can look down, as ascending and see that all of the terrain below was created on a gigantic scale using the same water effects of quick flooding and erosion, creating the same features which I created many times as a child with buckets of water, or trapped dams of tide water on sandy beaches. When driving from Zion NP, UT to Las Vegas, again, the features are massive flood effects, and likewise from Las Vegas to Barstow, CA. Across the earth, at the base of dormant past volcanic mountains which reach the seas and oceans, one can see how the water has carved away their sides and even under-cut them, as evidence of how shortly ago these mountains were formed and eroded. There is much evidence of rock continuing to be formed in only decades, with man-made objects entombed in recent rock, such as the pick-axe. On a mining cave tour in South Dakota, we were told how stalactites took immense quantities of time to be formed, yet I could see on the wooden roof supports growing stalactites which were inches long, grown in just 50 years, rather than the millions of years the experts declare. Since cement requires only hours to become rock, is there any wonder that making rocks without human help takes only a few decades, instead of millions of years. Nearly everywhere across the world, human eyes can see the signs of catastrophic floods, greater than any regional flood that mankind has ever seen, and for centuries after Noah's flood, before the land became covered over in places by great forests, Noah's flood results were easily seeable by every human, but not so strangely, humans prefer to live where plants cover-over the obvious signs of Noah's flood, since plants provide food for humans, but barren rock does not. We, in our myopic, near-sighted, survival level mindset, don't naturally look at the "big-picture", until we reach adulthood, when we seek education, which is just brain-washing by Darwinian geologists, biologists, and social scientists. As a small child, I thought that everyone older knew more then me, which was true; but only after many decades of study, and far later than I should have been told, I learned that most teachers and professors had just average intelligence, and that what they taught as truth was being taught by them as a parrot repeats words that he has heard, or a monkey can be trained to repeat the many steps of basic brain-surgery which a human taught him, but neither has the knowledge and discernment needed to prove what the parrot says or recreate from nothing the advanced steps of brain-surgery. Likewise is true of most professors at universities, these days; they have nothing but "wrote" words mimicked from someone else, with the exceptions of those of the so called "hard" sciences such as mathematics and chemistry; this is not to say that the persons don't have the ability to use discernment, but rather that they don't as a rule.

Geological Myopia, the same as Biological Myopia (faith in Common Descent) is due to these: "He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them." --John 12:40 "In whom the god of this world [Satan] hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. The consensus of world experts in geology and geography say a flood of the entire planet to the depth quoted in the Bible is totally impossible. Biologists have said that Noah's Arc would only be big enough for the food of 2 junior elephants for a year. Also expert boat builders made a large scale replica Arc and tried to sail it, but they couldn't stop it leaking. Apparently wooden ships can only be built up to a certain size because wood flexes and causes them to sink. There are of course a huge list of other problems, but I think you get my point.

What is less likely is covering the entire earth to a depth of Mount Everest, with the single exception that an olive tree appears to have been unharmed. Global warmists assert that if all the ice melted, the sea would rise about 100 meters. That would certainly flood some lowlands. Baghdad is 35 meters above sea level. But of course, a magical God can do anything, including creating enough water to cover mount everest, and protect an olive tree, and then vanish all that water. but if that's going to be the argument, then what is to say we haven't actually been created yet? The ice dam formed somewhere in the Cabinet Gorge where the present day Clark Fork river flows from Missoula, to lake pend Oreille, and on to the mighty Columbia river and eventually the Pacific Ocean. This should be sufficient evidence to explain the differentiated radiometric dating in the rhythmic layering.

Ancient books as the Mahabharata from India and the Popol Vuh from the Maya tell us that our planet suffers from a cycle of seven natural disasters. Those disasters are best known as the Great Flood or the End of Days. After such a disaster, where many living beings die, a new civilization arises slowly. The survivors tell their new born children about this disaster and how it occurred. There was a serpent in the sky or a red dragon. There were floods and fires, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. And a bombardment of fiery meteorites, hailstones. The sun, moon and stars were not visible for a long time. The survivors also knew that sooner or later this could happen again. But when? The fear for this most dramatic event in the history of mankind was and is exploited by priests. They told the people that the disasters were an act of God. And the people did not worship HIM well enough. This is how religion originated. For creationists the last flood that occurred in the year 3,644 BCE is THE flood. In fact there have been hundreds and more will come. And we know when. We explain much more about the cycle of recurring floods, the rebirth of civilizations and its timeline, ancient high technology and alien deities in the eBook: "what I know about Nibiru". This book shows abundant and convincing evidence in text and many depictions. You can read it on every computer, tablet or smartphone. Search: about nibiru roest

@roblangsdorf8758

@JoeC There are some important facts about Carbon14 to consider. It has a very short half life, so it can only produce dates of up to about 80,000 years. Coal tends to produce dates of 40,000 to 60,000 years. But this assumes that the levels of Carbon14 in the atmosphere at the time the trees grew was the same then as now. But Dr. Russell Humphreys has determined that the earth's magnetic field has a half life of about 1400 years. A stronger magnetic field would have deflected more cosmic rays away 5,000 years ago. This would result in a lower Carbon14 starting point and give us an age that is much older than the Coal really is.

Day is not the same as 24 hours, not in the past and not today. The earth is not about 6,000 years old and the Bible does not teach this. Hebrews 4:9-10: "There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his." This tells us that the 7th day Each believer are to enter into day 7. Also there no "evening and morning" for the 7th day. As day 7 as not ended. Biblical Hebrew has a limited vocabulary, with fewer words compared to other languages, such as English or Spanish. This means words often have multiple meanings determined by context. Day - yom is commonly rendered as day in English translations, but the word yom can be used in different ways to refer to different time spans thus literally is: Sunrise to sunset Sunset to next sunset Time period of unspecified length. (long time span ). We use the word day the same today: In my grandfather’s day cars did not go very fast. I work the day shift. (Both are not 24 hours) Deuteronomy 33:15 and Habakkuk 3:6 "ancient mountains". Gen. 2:4 “in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens” The events of day 6 can not have happened in 24 hours. Creationism does not equal young Earth. There are many Old Earth creationists.

But radiometric dating remains one last unresolved annoying detail.
@GSpotter63
@GSpotter63 День назад
@@KenJackson_US Here is what I have learned over the years... Here is the most often used equation for getting the age of an igneous rock from the results of an AMS (Accelerator Mass Spectrometry) data set. D = D0 + N(t) (eλt − 1) t is age of the sample, D is number of atoms of the daughter isotope in the sample, D0 is number of atoms of the daughter isotope in the original composition, N is number of atoms of the parent isotope in the sample at time t (the present), given by N(t) = Noe-λt, λ is the decay constant of the parent isotope, equal to the inverse of the radioactive half-life of the parent isotope times the natural logarithm of 2. Tell me how can anyone know D0 "The number of the daughter isotopes in the original composition", when the origin of the original composition supposedly took place millions or even billions of years before there was anybody around to confirm this assumption? I must also point out that the D0 in this equation is not a product of the equation but a requirement of the equation. Without it, it won’t work. When testing modern rocks; rocks whose formation was observed, the daughter isotope percentages at formation vary wildly and are in fact never zero. The level of mother to daughter isotopes very because the time it takes to solidify varies. The longer it takes the more of the present daughter isotope can leak out. If it does not all boil out before solidification or it they boil out at different rates it can drastically affecting the results of the tests. If the daughter isotope levels at rock formation in modern observed samples vary then one must accept that rocks from the past acted in like manner. Making the assumption that there are no daughter isotopes at formation for older samples when this is clearly not supported by modern samples is disingenuous at best and an outright lie at worst. If the starting ratios are not known then there is no math that can find the date. The dates used and accepted by supporters of evolution are in fact nothing but guesses based off of unproven assumptions. If two trains on parallel tracks were observed traveling in the same direction. One traveling faster and is 3 miles farther down the track then the other one. One could use simple math to calculate backwards to find at what point the two trains would be next to each other, sitting side by side on the parallel tracks. You could even find how long the trip took from the point that they were next to each other to where they are observed now. But none of the math would give you the starting point of either of the two trains. Assuming that they started in the same place and at the same time together cannot be confirmed. Yes one could look how far back the tracks go and calculate the maximum time they could have been traveling. But that would be the maximum possible time, not the time they actually started. In fact, in every case when the trains starting position was observed, they never started together. Such is the case for observed solidifying igneous rock. If the solidifying rocks observed today have varying starting ratios for the isotopes then one must maintain that the rocks in the past would act exactly the same; Resulting in the same problem that was encountered with the trains in the above example. Without knowing the starting ratios of the parent and daughter isotopes at solicitation the math is useless. Thereby making the dates arrived at with this math irrelevant. Isochron methods use the same data from the equation above to make their plots and as such suffer from the same dilemma... *The goal of the isochronic method is to identify and eliminate samples with possible contamination in situ or during handling and does nothing to eliminate the mathematical errors inherent in math in first place.* All that has been achieved by Isochron methods is a plot made of even more errors. There is no mathematical way one can determine the level of a coefficient without knowing the starting values of the variables used. The only reliable constants in the equations used are the decay rate of the isotopes (see Appendices A. at the bottom of this paper) and the rate of the passage of time. Without the starting ratios of parent and daughter isotopes math cannot determine an accurate date. You can find the oldest and youngest possible date that a sample could be by plugging in starting ratios at both of the extremes. But the dates obtained would give such a wide spread as to be useless. In fact you can obtain just about any date by simply plugging in whatever starting ratios will give you the date you want. Assuming that the ratios are zero for older unknown samples when every modern sample shows this to be wrong is..... Self induced ignorance. The level of self dilution displayed by those promoting the accuracy of radio dating is absurd. Again the train analogy was about the time and the distance traveled. Running the trains backward at the speed observed can tell you at what point the trains would meet each other. In another words, sit side by side on the parallel tracks. But this does not tell you that this is where either of the trains started. Show me an equation that can give an accurate date from the results of an AMS without relying on the unverifiable parent and daughter isotopes at solidification. If you cannot then your belief in the dates it provides is called faith. All of (macro) evolutionary theory rests on the billions of years. If you cannot verify those billions of years then any construct built upon its findings are no more reliable then the AMS suspicious unproven data. Perhaps if one looked for evidence in some place other than the authorized scientific dogma, they might find the errors that that dogma chooses to ignore. Appendices A... Apparently researchers at Stanford and Cornell have shown that some radio isotope decay rates can be affected by magnetic fields and ray interaction... The results of this research add even more question to the accuracy of the standard radio dating equations. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was explained to me that the reason the lava domes in Mt. Saint Helens date very old despite being very young is because the dating method tolerance is + or - several million years. So even if a sample is only 30 years old the dating method could still return millions of years. Even if the true date is 500 years old that would still be outside of the dating tolerances. In fact even 10,000 year old rocks would be way outside the dating tolerances and return millions of years in error. But wait..... What if all of the rocks on the entire earth were all younger than 10,000 years old? If that was the case then would not all of the rocks suffer the same error when subjected to the same testing method? How could one possibly know that the rocks whose dates are unknown from historical records are in fact any older than the rocks of known dates? Because of the dating methods massive wide open tolerances all rocks could in fact be less than 10,000 years old and still return dates of millions of years. The dating methods and those who interpret its findings simply do not take this into account.
