It's a lifestyle shoe for me. I tend to use it when I am traveling and use it for short runs overseas

Hello, I'm choosing new sneakers, I'd like them from asics (they fit my foot best of all the brands) and I don't know which model to get. I don't want any high-end model like meta speed, rather one that has good suspension for daily comfortable walking and doing all kinds of outdoor sports activities). As I looked, there are two models that would most suit what I want, and that is either Gel Nimbus 25 or Novablast 3. I don't know which one to choose. I heard that Nimbus 25 is better overall. My current sneakers are Novablast 1. The only thing that bothers me about them is that they don't seem that soft and sometimes quite unstable. That's why I thought I'd try the Nimbus model. Do you think it is a good choice? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Being a Sketchers fan myself, after watching your max road 6 review I went to see if they were available, but not yet unfortunately. But what I did find was the Max Cushioned Synergy, which looks suspiciously like the Nike Invincible 3...

I don't think the issues are due to the new boost. It is the construction of the shoe with all those plastic elements added to the sole and upper. I'd like to see a proper implementation of lightboost on a shoe without those Ultraboost signature elements.

I’ve heard the cost is mostly due to a pricey licensing agreement they have with BASF for the midsole materials. Makes me wonder if someone at Adidas signed too long a contract and they’re stuck trying to make it work when the industry has passed them by. It’s really a lifestyle shoe at this point but at the price, that doesn’t work very well (and why they are often on sale). Would really like to see Adidas launch a great daily trainer that takes from the ADIZERO line - basically put more lightstrike pro in the SL and I think we’re there.
@hiratiomasterson4009
@hiratiomasterson4009 Год назад
You can get some very low cost boost shoes with Solarboost, NMD etc, so don't think the licensing fee to BASF is too horrendous. But if you combine the BASF licensing with the Continental rubber outsole fees, then it probably starts to get a bit out there. Pity. As a heelstriker, it's pretty kind to me.

The Light Boost is less comfortable than the normal Boost, especially in the forefoot area. But what I disliked the most about my Ultraboost Light is the lack of grip in the toe off. Just don't have enough Contineltal rubber in that area ! Adidas needs to put more (stack height)Boost Light in their shoes .... 8mm drop instead 10mm would be a start ... please, Adidas, don't go mess up with the Solar Glide 7 ....

Yeah this Boost is a bit lighter but it sounds like it's still way behind the modern competotors. Adidas Boost, Hoka EVA, Nike React, pretty much every Brooks, lots of Asics (but they seem to change a bit with Nimbus, Cumulus and the Blast shoes), so many shoes where companies are afraid to spooke loyal followers that don't want any change, resulting in Pegasus #40 being the same as the others before and so much less value than e.g. the Deviate Nitro 2 that you can get even cheaper. I know and understand people that found something that works for them and want to stick with that, they are horrified by the number of shoes in my cupboard, I just don't see me buying a Boost shoe or another Pegasus, even though I would recommend a discounted old Pegasus for a beginner.

Honestly, they’re less comfortable to run in than the UB 21 and UB 22. Thought I’d give UB one last chance as a daily trainer with the light boost and I ended up straining a few muscles in my leg. Had I not needed new work shoes, it would’ve been $180 down the drain.

@@dynamicblazegamez8286 I like them for walking and I can see how others would like them for running. I work in healthcare and I like the extra cushion for when I’m standing for long periods. They’re just not for me for daily trainers.

Honestly (I’m a heel striker) the UB Lights are amazing in my opinion and I haven’t experienced any of the issues other people in the comment section have experienced (except the forefoot stack height, it’s way to thin) I find the UB lights to be amazing for running and I really enjoy running in them, they offer great shock absorption and also offer fantastic energy return, they also propel me foreword with each stride when running due to the LEP system, also the stability is unrivaled. For the price its not the best since there’s other shoes on the same level or better than this shoe for cheaper, but that still doesn’t discount the fact that these shoes are disliked by a lot of people here for a reason that I don’t really experience. These shoes (in my own experiences and opinion) are amazing performance running, walking, and just lifestyle shoes, they work for everything and are VERY comfortable due to the Boost light foam (it’s not as plush as the old boost but it makes up for it with its lower weight and slightly better energy return), my only dislikes with this shoe is the low stack height, for the price they should add a way higher stack height like 40mm heel and 30mm forefoot but other than that I really recommend these shoes (not for faster paces, only for easy or recovery runs and ONLY for heel strikers) I honestly just hope that for newer UB’s they add a higher stack height that would make this shoe that much more comfortable. Btw this is my opinion and if you disagree that’s ur opinion, I’m just speaking or… typing on my own personal experiences since I do run a lot. There are better options out there but this shoe is still a very solid and amazing shoe, but I wouldn’t buy it full price, I would only buy it at least 70$ Australian dollars off the Australian retail price of 280$

Hey Fordy, would you recommend the rebel v3 or the propel v4 for daily running more on the tempo side? also how would you compare the speed 2 to the both rebel and propel?

And not for that price point at £100 might be an ok shoe worth a punt. but 170! Much better out there could get a deviate nitro 2 and velocity and still have change. The ultra boost 19 is what got me into running and found that great at the time. Shame.

UB's are special to me since the OG's are the ones that got me into running. But man, these newer UB's… underwhelming as a performance shoe, pricy for a walking shoe. It's just nostalgia at the moment. Like the airbags from Nike or the gel from Asics.
