The Ford F-150 Platinum, Lariat, and XLT pickup truck throws a message on the dashboard by disconnecting the front-wheel drive from the 4x4 system when you need it most.
Apparently the new Ford trucks with the torque converter that comes with the automatic 4x4 (4x4A) has a factory fault by disabling the 4x4 when it is very stuck, which ironically is when you need it most.
