Well DeBeers Compaign is what we studied in our college. I agree with you on the campaign part and what Diamond basically is - Just a compressed Carbon but but but You are wrong when you are talking about the appreciation of Diamond or the resale value. There are many vendors like Tanishq and all who genenuinally offers the Sale Value as MSP .. and if I talk about my own experience, I just sold one necklace for which I got the appreciation of 56% ! Never garnered such an appreciation on Gold in the recent past ! So Gold is definitely a good investment but until we have this Diamond Marketing and people value Diamond as a Precious stone, you will never lose the bet on Diamonds !

In the 3-D structure of diamond, each carbon atom is covalently bonded to four other carbon atoms and thus, there are no free electrons and hence, it does not conduct electricity. Covalent Bond of every carbon to each other makes it hardest element. On the same way, Graphite has 1 free electron, that's why it conducts electricity.

@@IntellectualIndies but to make it electrically conducting they added 2.8% of boron during growth, which contributes positive charge carriers (holes) to the material (only possible in case of artificial diamonds). Boron is responsible for conducting the electricity which is only possible in the case of artificial diamonds. I thought you were mentioning real diamonds for electricity conduction. Maafi Guruji🙏🏻

First thing is the logic that diamond will be cheaper because of artificial diamond is not correct. There is always a difference between artificial and natural.
