Hello Eric please I run a podcast and I'd like to make it into a youtube channel, what mid range android device do you advice I buy to help me start out shooting great quality videos b4 I get a better one as time progresses
It's kinda sad that the 8.3 only got Android 12 as the last update. It is a "flagship" phone because of how fast it is so it should have gotten at least 3 or 4 years of android updates and 5 years of security updates.
Great review, Mr. Okafor. However, like many people said: this phone is big, the cameras are good, the performance is great, but it's unfairly overpriced 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Hello Eric, I got the Redmi note 9s, but I am not really enjoying the experience, dark mode seem to not be working properly with most of the apps, it even affects pictures I design with white backgrounds, I forgot to mention the camera, it has a hard time focusing and the camera quality is poor, even using gcam. So I'm considering selling it and buying an iphone 8 plus/ iphone x . What do you advise?
Android $200 midrange phones will never win in a competition with $300 iPhones. You can install on GCAM on the Redmi Note 9S camera and see if you like the feel of that in the mean time. Link is on my pinned comment.
Hello! @Eric Okafor. Thank you for this review. Do you think it's worth buying now at 164k? I'm looking for a good mid-range phone to buy. Camera quality and speed are the most important factors for me. Please share your thoughts, thank you.
Great review! The price should probably go down soon in Africa too. It was 599 euros here in Finland for too long. Now it's 399 e (64gb) and 449 euros (128 gb version). OZO audio and cinema mode is the best beats Sony hands down.
Excellent advice! There are a few great deals for the 8.3 right now, but I'm concerned that if I buy it I'll get stuck with phone that is past it's prime. So at this point, if let's say anybody is wanting to upgrade from the 7.1...is it still better to wait for later on in the year when potentially the 7.3/7.4 or the 8.4 may be announced released? What do you think of the Nokia X20 as an upgrade for the Nokia 7.1?
@@EricOkafor the poco f3 is like $200 more expensive tho. In case you didn't notice, I'm talking about Australian dollars. The 8.3 deal is equivalent to around $250 in unites states dollars, so again, is it worth it?
Sir. Eric i got my new phone POCO X3 NFC, But is that true that phone battery only have 300-500 charge cycle and will the phone still work after the 300-500 charge cycle?.😊😊
Hi, very helpful. If I'm not a gamer or need very pro photos or videos would I notice a great difference between 6 or 8 GB ram other than a dual SIM card? Many thanks
Love that jab you threw at Samsung there... LOL! Been using the Nokia 7 Plus for 2.5 years now, and looking to upgrade soon. Looked at this one as a suitable prospect, but you're absolutely right about the price; the Google Pixel 4A 5G, which has an OLED screen, and has the very same chipset is still much cheaper than this! 🤣 I also love the default camera/GCAM comparison, and, there's something about that app that I just find hard to leave.. Thanks for uploading, and you've gained a new subscriber from Trinidad & Tobago! #BlessingsFlow #NuffRespect
@@sahkhareflexy1449 there's Poco F3 that retails for less. I don't see a reason to pay that high for the Nokia 8.3 5G. Gcam is supplementary, not a replacement for high end cameras especially coz gcam crashes occasionally.
@@sahkhareflexy1449 The Nigerian S20 FE is wack. It's made for Africa and it uses different internal i.e the CPU. The CPU they used doesn't support GCAM, unlike the S20 FE from US and China.
They fixed the face id with android 12 and the fingerprint unlock is too fast but has an issue the flex that connects the down board detaches even without falling
This phone is 200e right now in my country. Was looking for a phone with macro camera, but my Moto x4 is still going strong since 2017. Too bad they don't make them like they used to
Thanks for the wonderful review Eric. I found out it now costs N199,990 at Jumia. Do you think it's worth it? Or do you have a better option for the same range of price (and I don't like finger print on screen. Not ideal for a frequent driver like myself)? I want to invest in a good phone but I don't want to regret later. God bless.
I think it's compatible with every carrier. Check what band they use and cross reference it with the part where I showed all the 4G/5G bands in this video.
Good review! Viewer from Germany here, I'm still a bit miffed that it will only get updates til 2022. The X20 will be supported longer but comes at a lower initial price (which is roughly the same as what the 8.3 costs now), so I assume it probably isn't as good...
I feel like they were charging too much money for this device which is why it didn't sell well. The color doesn't look bad but for the price it just doesn't seem worth it.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 7:37. I honestly feel the price isn't worth it. The chin is too massive for me. I think the Samsung A71 is still one of the best midrangers especially with the reduction in price. The only down side is the not so great camera except you use GCAM 😉.
Nokia left a Bad taste in my mouth with d Nokia 6.1 plus, Bad USB Port After 3 months. This Nokia is Over Priced, e nor suppose pass 160k Samsung A71 is far Better
I purchased this phone from b@h 2 month ago, did not come with earbud, where did you buy this phone from? this phone is true global phone except charing too slow. or FYI, if you are in USA the so called nationwide 5G is a scam, the you want to know nokia 8.3 support sub-6 bands from all US carriesrs and has band N40, 2.3GHz for Mid-band sub-6 GHz, on verizon sub-6, current on nokia 8.2 and iphone 12 series. . DON'T Buy Nokia 8.3 5G Just Yet ??
@@jaypule3518 sad that I no longer have the Y9s coz it's quite old. Speed wise, the Kirin 710 is around the same speed as the Helio G70. However G70 is better for gaming.
