You need to file it well at all different angles . Then make sure the spot is clean and dry rub over the patch good till no air bubbles and glue start to come out around the edges of patch. I have a tube with 2 patches on it ben holding weeks. Mind you, it is a bought half lb low on air, but that can be a temperature change. Now the thing is, the patch is not for long turm use they are for quick repair in breakdown to get home or to a shop for new tube .
Did you use the little metal file provided to rough up the rubber before applying the scab? Also I'm pretty sure any patch is as a temporary fix that gets you home. The point of the file in the kit is to rough up the rubber to help it stick but it would also have removed some of the extra material on that seam and helped it be flatter. If you used it right and it still failed then ok but if you didn't read and follow the instructions correctly then leaving a bad review and telling people to not but a product isn't the best idea.
You didn't even have half of it actually stuck to the tube. You have to have a little common sense. I have had nothing but joy when I have used these. They save so much time it's amazing. I don't even take the rim off the bike. Tip you can not let them touch anything prior to putting on the tube. Once they get any kind of dirt on them it's over. Get another and try again. Peel the paper back folded under and get the smallest amount of skab stuck on tube first with the rest of the paper still on. I use a bank card or I.D. on top making sure it is completely fixed to the tube slowly pulling the backing off so there is no way of it getting dirty.
can confirm having this same issue, even after thoroughly sanding the area before applying then also applying a weighted object on the area for about a day and air still managed to push air through the sides
@@Ladarian_ , Hey thanks for your input. I went back and watched the video again and frankly can't remember exactly how much I scuffed it up but I do remember being skeptical about the scab working so I think I scuffed it up real well. I do remember following the directions to the letter and I said something like that in my video. That is that I followed the instructions at the time. Thanks for taking the time to comment. I am trying to make better videos so I appreciate your input.
💯PUCK just fix three holes on my inner tube. Very depressing need to get my high powered rifle my favorite blue dress and find the highest tower to take out my frustrations😂😂😂😂😂😂
