This simply is great value for money. It's all subjective of course, but I found this system sounding the clearest and best imaging capabilities. Important for me, I don't want to have a lot of speakers in my room. The sub is on setting 2 which is more than enough.

@@RahulRk-tr7ot bass is powerful, for sure. But since it is a sub it serves primarily the lower frequencies.

The bass pounds on this soundbar. It sounds fantastic and the app gives you an equalizer to change the sound however you want. @@RahulRk-tr7ot

Sorry for my bad english, I'm brazilian and recently i bought this BAR 500. Sometimes I turn on after a few days but the bar crashes and is slow to change functions and does not connect correctly to Bluetooth. So I need to unplug and plug again the BAR into the power. Have you ever seen this problem? Today I reset the BAR and I hope that it solves.

Yes same thing happened to me just now and a few days ago unplug and then plug back in and it's good again wish it had more bass 🔊 Does the app allow me to turn the bass up more than what it puts out already????????

Bluetooth is sketchy on most soundbars. Use the HDMI Cord or the Optical Cord dont rely on Bluetooth

The Logitech was very good, but it is just too old and has too many cables - I recommend the JBL BAR 800. Keep in mind that Black friday is coming in 2 months. Cheers

Yes i agree, not very clear. You have to watch all the way to the end to hear his opinion, of why. He says if you want a true effect of surround sound, get the jbl 5.1, and add the rear satellite speakers. If you want a more compact all in one solution, that has more power, Earc, dolby atmos processing, hdmi 2.3, and a deeper bass extension, get the jbl bar 500!

This vid helped me justify my purchase of a JBL Bar 500. I saw the 'negative' at the end, but basically his recommendation is for products that cost either $100 more (for the 5.1) or $700 more (for the Bar 9.1). i understand that for $500 the JBL 500 is not giving the absolute best of the best, but it seems quite impressive for the price.

@@markh2200 This video is just his opinion. The JBL Bar 500 has more power, deeper bass extension, Dolby Atmos, Earc, Hdmi 2.3, and Bt 5.0, ALL things the JBL 5.1, does not have, its the BAR 500 for me.

@EVIL INSIDE Thanks! Crutchfield has Definitive Technology soundbar for $450 (retail is $899) and I'm leaning towards that one. It has bluetooth 4.2 but otherwise seems like a great option. I've had JBL products in the past and I've always really liked the JBL brand. I think it's between the 500 and the Definitive for me and my space. Thanks for you input!

Hi @akash Go for JBL Bar 500 if you want amazing bass and music clarity. Especially good for movies with the low end bass. Go for Samsung Q800B if you want better dialogue clarity and clear vocals. The bass on the Samsung is not that good for movies as it lacks the low rumble that the JBL has. But Samsung has 2 extra upfiring speakers that may help in Atmos. I personally heard both and loved the JBL Bar 500. Would buy it if I need it in the future. Cheers.
