If Nike really wanted people to wear these out, then they would make them GR, but they won't and so the vast majority will be locked up in container boxes and not scratched at all. Same problem as the Lance Mountains. Personally, if I can get a pair, I would get rid of all the yellow. Then let the purple fade naturally. These would then be my retro Raptor grails.

Why would you buy a pair to rub off the paint? First off, its funny that people think its going to be easy to get 2 pairs just for one to rub off....lmfao. Second, why waste the creativity that went into these just to rub off the paint to get a colorway that you prob already have(Chicago 1s OGs, off-Whites, Spidermans, more coming next year) If i get a pair im keeping them the way they are and i live in Chicago...plus the yellow dont wipe off good so you wont get a chicago 1....more like a Cleveland 1....hmmm Lebron tribute maybe? Even if you DO skate, the Lance Mountain set didn't all the way strip lol. You'll fuck around and work a hole into the upper before you get your black-sole Chicagos unless they changed the type of top coat paint.
@@matthewkrellwitz8973 Yeah, I should've been more specific. Sandpaper, acetone/nail polish remover, 50+% isopropyl alcohol, and Mr. Clean Erasers will take it right off if you're deliberately trying to get to the other colorway.
Would LOVE to have a pair of these, but I don't pay over resale, so I may miss out. Also, skateboarders were skating in Jordan 1s decades before "Nike SB" ever existed, so SB Jordan 1s makes more sense then you may have known.
This is a shoe you need to put through the 30 day-45 day test and see how they look when they have been put through the paces! This is the perfect show for that!
I just got my pair the other day. I waited 4 years to get them (my holy grails) When they dropped I could only get the other ones the New York to Paris. I customized them and they are dope but these ones. Sheesh! My collection is now complete.

I have wanted to get a pair of the Chicago 1's for a while but just can't pull the trigger for the price. I am also a LA fan and I skate so I am really into these. I know its going to be crazy to get a pair so I'm hoping for a nice hit either on the app or in store if I can find them. Other wise I might have to pop resale.
These kicks are about the Bulls win over the Lakers in the 1991 NBA Finals and MJ getting the series MVP. As a life long Lakers fan..I am torn to buy these because they are straight 🔥.. I'm gonna have to get them fo sho. Keep up the great work on the channel!!!
Why do these look so nice? If someone told me they were making a lakers colorway jordan 1s, I wouldn’t think it’d look as good as this. But for some reason the purple and the yellow and that red on the side of the leather all match so well.

These are VERY much on my radar, I just wore my White Lance Mountains last week and would love to put these next to them. May has some fire, but this one is probably my most anticipated. I want them for the Purple/Gold colorway, but I want to see what they look like fully stripped.
