Pixel is meant to be used with Pixel experience i.e Pixel UI, using other launchers might not be the right way to review. Consider using the default launcher. Also, the MAJORITY of the Pixel owners buy it for its experience and won't be using any launchers. So, it is better to review all the phones with their default launcher for better review and experience. Nice review...
No phone is meant to be used with a non default launcher. The pixel is very overpriced for an android device with very limited sales support. If it has to be android(for its openess) then samsung is the way imo which cramps as much features as possible.
I agree with you but a 80000rs phone should mostly handle anything that you throw at it, except for extreme performance consuming appplications or softwares. but a phone at this price not being able to handle a basic launcher and throws issues is something which we have to question and consider its capabilities.
True but sadly Pixel is made just for Pixel users who wants Pixel Experience. Pixel wants user to experience the UI as they want them to be and making work all lauchers on Pixel smoothly will devaite there primary focus on making switch the users from other UI to Pixel UI @@Praddyyy
I think the launcher you're using is not well optimized for Android 14. Stock android doesnt cause these kind of problems when opening apps. Love your videos though 🔥
Pixel 8 pro has been great in my testing. There are some bugs related to homescreen which would get ironed out. I did notice that S23U performed better in Genshin on highest settings but barring that, P8pro was doing great. Tbh, most people buying flagships don't play such games. A bit higher pricing is the only major drawback. Cheers 🥂
Like previous pixel devices, kindly make a "Making it mine and what's on my pixel" video. That last one was awesomely made, an amoled setup on your pixel 2. Much love ❤
Should I buy s23 or pixel 8 My main usage will be with camera and gaming Or should I wait for s24 and pixel 8a to launch Current phone I own is pixel 4a
I have used it for two weeks on 4g mobile data in uk and its winter here. This phone does heat on mobile data if you do multi tasking and video call for 4/5 mins but, yes on wifi it doesn't heat. I think you used it on wifi
Talks so much sense. Then uses custom launchers and blames OS for freezing or crashing apps. Cusom launchers can mess around with App state causing issues.
Here’s what I do with every phone we review on the channel: 1 video about 3 reasons to buy and 1 about 3 reasons to not buy where I highlight the flaws. This video is the final review of the phone. Hope that helps you understand.
Lovee my pixel 8... Got an amazing deal at 54k for a 2 week old device on olx ... I have been using it for a couple of weeks now, and believe me it's absolutely perfect, like it's a phone I have been looking for, for a while now.. It's perfect size, not too bulky, it has an amazing 120hrz display, it's plenty bright (a complaint I've always had with pixels), the cameras obviously are best in the business and the battery life has been very very good in the time I've used it... Also it doesn't heat at all... It's just a perfect device all round.. Yes there may be a few bugs here and there but believe me I had the iPhone 14 pro, these buys are nothing compared to what that phone had..!!
Hey mate.... What is the SOT you are getting with 5g? I bought an unlocked pixel8 from USA it is yet to be delivered but i am curious about 5g SOT. I know it optimises after 1-2 weeks of useas but still 😅
@@tersem5151 I love the portraits on this phone... iPhone was good at portraits as well but there was a little smoothening in iPhone pictures... Pixel has more sharp images... Now depends on what you prefer.. edge detection and stuff is good on both.. Pixel has a more prominent background blurr, apple had a little subtle one... But I love the images pixel takes and even the videos are very good this time...
8:17 stop using other launcher, because pixel launcher top of that does not support other launcher that Niagara launcher other than launchair is yet in beta for non root user to experience that animation, that why it was crashing
He didn't talk about the front camera because the front is worse considering the pixel phone and trust me if you really the camera phone please don't for it yes rear cameras are good just good not great your money is important don't waste on this one a pixel 8 user is saying this
You shouldn't put any theme or launcher while reviewing, also, your videos have a creamy tone which makes it dull to view and can't figure out the screen and color of the phone you're reviewing.
One suggestion, if you're gonna review a phone for the general public then please use the phone at factory settings, like here you're using Nova launcher. Maybe the app crashing is happening because of that. So I think for reviewing purposes you should use the phone with stock launcher.
Thanks for the suggestion bro! Unfortunately I tried stock launcher too but same issue was occurring, but will definitely keep in mind for future reviews. Cheers!
Yeah, I pre-ordered the phone and have been using it for more than a month, I never faced these issues, no idea what apps are crashing, maybe some update is missing on his phone or something?
Nova doesn't work well with the new pixels. Saw some other reviewers mention it too when they were talking about not being able to remove the bottom search bar
Sir, I just had a question regarding all the features which Google promised to give in this phone.. Are those available in India or are exclusive for US?
What launcher are you using. I've seen a better experience with the stock launcher. Nova and Niagara are the few launchers which don't cause any lag. So maybe try another launcher or the stock launcher. I won't say not using a launcher which isnt stock is the ultimate goal... Ultimately, it is android and we should be able to have whatever launcher we want. But generally the popular launchers fare better.
@@anubhavroy That sure is weird. I have a 6A. I use nova launcher sporadically, and don't face any issues. Must be related to the 8 series or the tensor G3
Pixel 8 (256gb) at 51k (USA). Worth it? I use my phone for calls, whatsapp - insta and the likes, camera, and web surfing, OTT sometimes. Would you recommend it, after all the recent updates it has got?
Mark my words ! What pixel is doing right now.Google will make pixel robust. Specially how they are designing & addressing bottlenecks of their tensor chips step by step. They are in control of what they want from smartphone!
It's unlikely that I'll consider buying Pixel 8 at its current price point, since its competitors already offer better prospects and if it was priced like Pixel 7 when it launched I would have been more inclined to buy it. As someone who owns a Pixel, I love the Pixel experience as well as the still photography. However, video is an area in which it struggles quite a bit, and as the world moves towards more video-based content, I find this to be a major problem especially in this price bracket. While AI features seem very appealing at first, I believe the rest of the brands will soon follow suit, like Samsung with the Galaxy S24 (which is right around the corner).
Google really crippled the Pixel 8 compared to the pro variant. Last year's Pixel 7 was a better deal. Most of the functionality is AI based and could be enabled on the base model. Not having pro controls in the Pixel 8 camera is the real bummer for me. After mocking Apple for their practises, Google shamelessly copied them by crippling the base model like iPhone. Everyone should wait until next year when Google starts manufacturing Pixels in India.
lI think motorola has become a better pixel for Indians than pixel itself. Only if they fixed the camera I won't mind ledger software updates. I also love there ready for feature.
Uninstall the launcher first then give your review😂. Pixel is have world's best Android launcher. Excellent reviews bro😅😂 Go to bed 🍼 Don't make foolish reviews 👎
For me pixel is just killer smartphone I don't like is that tensor its rebranded Exynos nd i been there in Exynos ara nd i really wanna puk on performance , I got so irritated using it so im in really wierd position i love pixel so much but that tensor scares me nd the price man
@bharatgera8229 See from the name, I get to know that you live in India. And from what I have heard, connectivity is not that great over there. Me who is in the US also has bad connectivity. No other phone in my house has that problem with the same carrier. And also the chipset is not that great if you do heavy work or gaming. So if you don't care about both of those then you go with it. I mean I like it but always when I do some multi tasking or gaming it starts to heat and glitch. Everything else is awesome. But I personally after using it for a past few months, I recommend u Rather get the s24 as it has a way better chip and better connectivity with the same years of software update and AI features. Hope it helps
Hey Anubhav, been following you since ages now. And really found this video helpful because I was planning to buy it, but yes, it's way too above my budget (40-45K). I'm into sports content creation, so video recording on the go is the key. Can you please recommend me a phone accordingly? Thanks and keep pushing man 💯
@@anubhavroy thanks for your reply man. My entire ecosystem is android haha, buds, smartwatch, windows, etc. Plus I used various Pro version APK files for quick edits, which will become a hindrance in Apple. Any android suggestions would be of great help. 😁
