I'm a Silver age Marvel fanboy from way back in the day. This OG bought Marvel books off the spinning comic book rack back in Brooklyn in the 1960's. While I do like some of the newer books and I do own some, I've also noticed the insane hype and FOMO that has caused prices of these newer books to spiral in price. I never bought on spec, it was just love of the genre, stories and art. While it's great to see the hobby is alive and well, if I'm spending big bucks, it will always be for Marvel Silver age books, not these newer books. So, to each their own and as long as the hobby is going strong, I'm happy. Best to all and...Make Mine Marvel!
Batman #609 was on my list. I was just thinking about the Hush story line and wanted to invest in it. I had no idea there was a rumor that the story line might be used for the next movie. Glad I watched "another one of your videos."
Thanks REGIE. Always love the variety of your videos. Most of the other RU-vidrs just tell you what to get but you always find another way to keep things interesting. I just collect for my PC. As you always say collect smarter.
X-force 2 Deadpool’s 2nd app has dropped I got 3 cgc 9.8s for 47 50 & 56. Do you think the speculation is hurting this one cause it should be 85 to 100? Or is just being forgotten because of these other books.
I think that preference is always given to the first appearance. Second appearances, first cover, first costume, etc. become alternative purchases when the price of the first appearance is too high. When the market turns negative and things take a dip, these alt options are the first to take a hit. The most that a X-Force 2 sold for was less than $160. NM 98 peaked out at $2,400. If you are a Deadpool fan or speculator and don’t have thousands to spend, the XF2 looks attractive.
