Good idea but it might be a while till we have a good amount of other genre books in compact comic form cuz of the amount of superhero books DC makes and is gonna wanna push
You need to mention that the Teflon film will leave a grid pattern on your comic books because they aren't completely smooth. I don't think you mentioned the pressure setting on the press. I had to dial it down because I was getting Teflon film imprints on my books.
Haven't seen it. The commericials to it didn't make me think it was one I needed to spend money on. Money's tight and I only go to the movies if I think they are going to be worth the extra to see them as an event on the big screen. (noted this is an old video that resurfaced on my feed)
You should show the "Extended Stats" that GoCollect provides (linked on the page you share in this video). Some people might not even know those stats exist.
While she has a point it doesn't change the fact that even normal people who don't even know her can tell what kind of person she is. She has displayed multiple times her passive aggressive behavior and attitude, Martyr complex, and reactive devaluation. She does bring up an important topic and possible reason as to why many progressive movies are so poorly rated, at the same time I wouldn't recommend defending her as there are plenty more reasons to dislike her not pertaining to her political beliefs.
You'll realise just how fucked and broken the comic industry is and how it's dead when you understand that amazing Spiderman #1 was worth 20,000 or more in the mid 90's which was 30+ years later and spawn #1 and most of the comics from that era are 30 ish years old now and are worth maybe 20 bucks 😂😂😂 new comics are useless. Seems the industry is dead and not just based on spawn. Sad
(Nerd Rant warning) Okay so like a lot of good shows (Punisher, Daredevil, hell even outside the mcu PEAKY BLINDERS) great shows need a slow build. season one was good the defenders was awesome. And the character development in Iron fist season 2 was outstanding. I even love Ward now. I was hoping they’d give Danny and the gang a spot in “Shang-Chi” cuz you know… dragons and mystical lands. But dude they gotta make a season 3 or at least give the defenders a movie because wow this series didn’t get the credit it deserved, And the actors are so underrated. Disney has so much more potential in these separate series and I pray they give the fans what they want. If they don’t keep these going at least hook the OG Stan Lee fans up with a video game remake of ultimate alliance and include iron fist. Or stand alone games they could seriously profit from w individual heroes. Like DC did with the Arkham series…… *MIC DROP* I’ve said my piece
If Kevin Fiege will suprise us and introduce KNULL to the MCU My suggestion for a Movie Title will be Marvel's King Of Black And kevin need to cast all the mcu superhoresand villians against the God of Darkness
Barrier of entry is easier in manga and I’m not talking in terms of product availability. I’m talking about a self contained story versus a near never ending story that usually will maintain status quo. How much of Marvel/DC history does someone need to know before picking up the next Superman or Spider-Man? So many opinions vary on that. How much history of One Punch Man or My Hero Academia does someone need to get into those mangas? Easy... Just pickup the first volume. As someone that has read comics on/off since the 90’s I have the ability to read a major event (Infinity Gauntlet, Flashpoint, House of X, Civil War etc) and not be entirely clueless. The new reader may have a harder time. Now indie comics like Walking Dead, Preacher, Invincible, Kick Ass etc don’t have that problem. They have more in common with mangas (IMO) than their Marvel/DC counterparts.
Comic Book Market went down by as much as 50% from 2020. If you collect for fun etc like me, this is irrelevant. If your speculating, getting books graded, cleaned/pressed, shipping stuff out and burning man hours making a business out of it then you took a beating! Hopefully this wasn't the case, or even worst, something more serious or personal.
To get the total cover price you would need to know the individual issue cover prices then add them manually. Cover prices are general listed right on the comic. You can also look them up in a pricing service which gives you the cover price.
Instead of sending comics to get graded there should be a business where you give someone your worn out comics that were actually read and enjoyed and they professionally re-stapple them.
Fair review. I was a bit surprised at your clarity comments on CBCS. I have owned all iterations of CGC and CBCS, and while there was that tinge you speak of I personally didn’t find it to affect the clarity. All iterations of the CBCS slab appeared clearer that first and second generations of CGC and definitely clearer than the first PGX slab (I say first because I simply refuse to use them). Anyway, while there’s things EGS could improve down the road, this slab is a solid start. BTW I think your label sitting high is indeed just a QC thing. I’m hoping that future iterations will refine that well. (The other thing I was thinking was perhaps the label itself might be slightly wider than normal.)
