In this video we discuss two distributions that are actually not such, in the sense that the very purpose of their existence is not to create new downstream distros, but to optimize installation, first configuration and management of the two operating systems to which they belong. The idea stems from the fact that the creator of the two projects believes that, as far as desktop use alone is concerned, the two starting distributions lack cleanliness or have a suboptimal default configuration. This two projects are Spiral and Gecko Linux, based on Debian and openSUSE, respectively.
