"Mise En Abyme" is a French art term essentially meaning "a picture within a picture". This refers to how the game is technically a game (the fictional character) within a game (the actual game). It could also refer to the ending of the chapter, in which you keep entering another game within the game.
You have gotten me through bad times and made me smile Dan. Thank you. That awkward moment with the 18+ folder was hilarious 😂 Anyways, thank you for giving me a good day and night. It prevents me from getting mad at my little nuisance of a brother.
I have not been feeling 100% recently as my stomach has been sore and I’ve been uncontrollably shaking, Dan’s videos have helped me calm down as I’ve had no sleep all night, it has helped me stop shaking and thinking about my stomach! Thank you Dan 💙💙

In the terminology of heraldry, the abyme is the center of a coat of arms. The term " mise en abyme " then meant literally "put in the center". It described a coat of arms that appears as a smaller shield in the center of a larger one (see Droste effect).
