Cliff Richard’s first song to make the American top ten charts was Devil Woman in 1976. He has only had a handful of songs on the American charts. On the British charts (as well as the charts for other countries) he has had over a hundred different songs.
@@steelekeepinitreel4909 Yes actually the song 'Stronger Than That' was in the American Top 20 Dance chart in 1990, and the 2005 single 'What Car' was also a big hit in some regions of the USA!🙂
Cliff is bigger than Elvis . Cliff is the only singer in the world to have a top 10 hit in all 8 decades . Cliff has sold more albums than Elvis and had more hits . And just like Elvis he made & starred in his own movies .
No he's not ! You may be able to do stats, but Elvis is know worldwide as well as even reactors will do Elvis more than Cliff. I'm not saying Cliff is not big, but he copied Elvis' original style, and that's when he started getting way more famous than he was before.
@@steelekeepinitreel4909 Cliff is very much known Worldwide it's only America that is catching up with how big he really is . Some would argue that Elvis has been dead 47 years & Cliff is still alive at 83 that's why he ws more successful but that's not true as Cliff was ahead of Elvis in Hits & Album sales in the mid 70s . Some would say Cliff copied Elvis's style but so did everyone who who wanted to be big stars in the 50s . I'm not disrespecting Elvis's achievements as i'm a huge Elvis fan but i have to take my hat off to Sir Cliff Richard on his greater achievements . Maybe the numbers would have been much different if Elvis took better care of himself & not died .
