I went to this show but she didn't sing " don't cry for me Argentina." I hear she did it only for Argentina. I'm of Mexican heritage and that was beautiful that she did it for Argentinians. ❤️. I love that she's so respectful.
I've never heard Madonna sing any better; this is tremendous. And the response from the crowd in Buenos Aires!! Look into their faces--I've never seen anything like it. This, my friends, is why this woman is a world famous, world wide superstar. Whatever she does for the rest of her life, she had this moment, and so many moments like this, that very, very few performers can even hope to reach. Brava, Madonna. Thank you for giving us joy. I'm listening to this in August 2022, by the way. She will endure. :)
@Parker930 there is nothing wrong with using autotune and you can use it only in specific moments. I love Madonnas voice. Even more before Evita or this

Que hermosa voz tiene Madonna. Tengo 23 y soy un privilegiado de vivir estando ella presente físicamente. La conocí con el álbum MDNA en el 2012 y desde ahí nunca la dejé de escuchar. Me escuché todos sus álbumes y con cada álbum que escuchaba, más me enamoraba de ella. Y cada vez que saca nueva música, me pone muy feliz. I saw Evita on stage at least 6 times, each time I grew to love the music of this show more and more. When the movie came out I was floored. I knew Madonna had put alot of time into voice coaching for this part and then there were the people who said that her casting was some kind of gimmick. This is a role that fits her personality and voice I think more than any other. Her voice as she gets older is taking on a wonderful depth and range of expression. She is an enormously underrated artist, due to her pop music background, but she is and always has been a formidable presence in music and I hope will continue to be.
She's was never the greatest singer in the world but she can hold a note, I've loved Madonna since I was a young girl and I got to admit for a 58 year old woman this preformance impressed me! You go girl!

This was the highlight of the " _Sticky & Sweet Tour_ to me. Her performance makes me emotional and teary. So much passion, art, heart and soul in this performance. It is amazing. I wish she would still sing like this.
I never took her seriously until she did "Evita" and I recognized a true artist, rather than a singing cartoon. When "Ray of Light" was released I finally bought an Madonna album and was super impressed.
I loved her first album a lot, but didn't care for her "Like a Virgin" "Get into the Groove" phase AT THE TIME. "Like a Prayer" was when I really got into her music, and now I love all of it. But yes, Evita and Ray of Light are 2 supurb works of art.
M was never a "singing cartoon". All her live performances, starting with The Virgin Tour had always a message. Trough her shows, among others, she speaks about women empowerment, freedom of expression, love, human rights, prejudice.

A quien no le podria gustar esta obra de arte hecha cancion , con esta interpretacion tan sentida , y desde el fondo del corazon. , definitivamente por esta y otras razones , es la REINA MADONNA.
She demonstrates to have a great voice when she's not dancing. She doesn't use pre-recorded vocals while dancing, unlike everyone else hence why it's difficult for her to maintain a flawless intonation while dancing AND she also dances for three consecutive hours every show. Everyone else pre-record their vocals hence why they sound more polished and with no imperfections. It is also to be noticed that Madonna is an actual dancer and her dancing isn't made of simplistic leg/arm moves which don't necessarily damage the vocal delivery. Plus, she seems to be way more nervous and less confident when she makes TV performances. Probably because people always gave her such a hard time for her vocals. At the other hand she's way more confident in her own shows in front of her fans/audience, hence why she lets herself go and shows off her proficiency singing wise.
I got here from a video of Tina Arena singing this same song. Tina Arena is a soprano. Madonna is a mezzo. I'll take a mezzo any day. I love deeper voices.
