It is scary Kayla…Jackson has his permit and has been driving us around. It’s so hard not to be in control of the car or truck that he’s driving at the time!! I wish your girl the best with it!! God protect all of our children out there on the highways 🙏
I was the same way. I'm not used to ever being a rider. My daughter wanted to drive 55 on wet gravel road. Her: you have 4wheel drive Me: it doesn't work if we are upside down.
Great video. I appreciate how friendly and polite you are to those around you. Some people shouldn't have a driver's license, why do they its ok to park on the highway? Bless their heart...they're stupid. Love you and your sweet family.
I love your videos! I'm a professional TV editor in Los Angeles, but I'm from Dayton, Ohio, so hearing your accent makes me feel at home. :) I love the price graphics you did in this one! I think it would be even better if you put a few words above the amount when doing these, such as "RUNNING TOTAL THIS SALE:" or "RUNNING TOTAL TODAY:" Keep up the awesomeness - on a budget. :)
Oh Kayla letting them drive is so hard. That whole "having a child is like letting your heart go walking around outside of your chest" saying becomes so true once they start driving. Hope all went well for Madison. Great video.
Love this series of traveling and picking, don't have this in California. Congratulations to your daughter. I have a suggestion for the New name for your channel, The Homeschooled Picker
Oh my gosh!! I can’t believe anyone would take a chance and park alongside the highway in Georgia! 😱😱 We used to drive from NC to FL and I held my breath through the entire state because those GA state troopers have people pulled over everywhere!…..true story but I don’t understand why people would cause a possible accident like that!
I like watching your videos and learning how & what to choose. These traveling videos have been so much fun! Everyone is soooo friendly & their southern accents, oh my!
Great video series 👍 You are blessed to be seeing and buying such wonderful treasures at one time!!🤩❤👍So happy you are having a worthwhile adventure 😀 Keep the items coming and stay safe ❤ Just FYI, the driving feeling of worry 😟 never goes away no matter how old they get.❤
You are so right miss thing, our kids drive solo is never having peace of mind for a parent 😧😱. Thanks for all your videos, I love to go garaga-sale-ing with you 👍😁
Been watching you and husband and family..love the show..thank you for having a loving and heart for God people..not easy doing what you all do..God bless you all.Amen...brother James..TYLER TEXAS
Totally get it. Me and my baby almost died this year because someone was standing in the first lane in the Interstate IN THE SNOW! I slammed on my breaks and spun out 360 slammed in the barrier multiple times. It’s not only the safely of yourself getting out of your vehicle but for those driving as well!
My daughter has that Maui doll. First I forgot all about and heard some man's voice on the monitor and freaked me out for a minute. Lol Second time my daughter farted and just then Maui says " I was not expecting that." I wish I had been recording it.
Awesome finds Kayla 😉 We have the same taste in items. I do the same thing here in California. I really enjoy watching your videos. I have learned alot from you 😉
I have 21 full sets of Fiestaware, plus the platers, salt pepper set, cream, and sugar ( etc.) I stopped at 21 sets. I thought why??? but I love them. Also, the flatware has two different patterns. I hardly use them. Something to pass to the granddaughters!
There are kits to fix the Big Mouth Bass if it's just the head or tail not moving. Otherwise, yeah it's trash. That was a little crazy parking on the highway. lol
I would've said something too about parking on highway! I'm in Florida and they don't play here lol!!! Again love you and you always make me laugh! Great haul 👌
Hey y'all I have just started watching you and I am having a blast. I absolutely love Yard sales!! I'm from Shelbyville KY so it's really cool to see that you all are from KY too. Thank you for sharing and God bless you all!!
Kayla IDK you lived in Danville? That's where my church is! RRC Pastor Yokom, 3x a week I am online with those precious ppl. I looked everywhere for a church during Covid started watching and getting involved with that church. There are at times over 140 off us who attend from other States online. I love Ky. I lived in Bowling Green when I was in high school. Great job at all these yard sales, looked like awhole bunch of fun. God Bless you.
Can you do a video on things you need to purchase and have on hand in order to do your online selling? I'm trying to learn more in order to get started.
You need one of those collapsible basket on wheels. I feel bad cause I always see your arms full. That would save you time and make it easier to look for more treasures.
I always wanted Fiesta dishes too and I finally got them. I used them for two years trying so hard to love them, but I just didn’t. They are super heavy, they get hot in the microwave, and they scratch when you cut things on them. I gave them to my daughter and got myself another set of Corelle. I did keep the fiesta coffee mugs, but I love my new Corelle dishes.
I want them so bad, not enough to pay some of prices I've seen online but one day I hope to have all the beautiful colors in my cabinet. God bless you.
@@57msdeb Thank you for letting me know. I have Lupus can not afford to buy things that do not last or are too heavy etc. I have Stoneware right now that is 15 yrs. old I just love the colors of the Fiesta. I will just enjoy looking at other ppl. God bless you.
Ohh great advice! I too, hate using heavy dishes… I have a weak wrist so they are not fun. Also the microwave thing… you would think they would have figured that out with how popular they are. Appreciate the tips!
I live in the Coastal Georgia area, sold and bought at the Peaches to Beaches in the St Mary's area for several years. Then Covid hit and I've not heard anything since. I miss it, especially those set up on the side of the road and their yards. Great finds.
when my boys began driving the younger one learned first, I got them a new car to drive so there would be safe technology plus no late nite breakdowns, they worked till midnite
I think, no I'm *SURE* the reason you're my favorite flipper/reseller is cuz you interact with people the same way I do: aka "flappin your gap". My hubby's nickname for me is Sir Yaps-A-Lot lol. I absolutely *ADORE* talking to folks. You meet such cool people that way. So it's like finding a kindred spirit on a video speaking back at ya lmao!
People absolutely park on the road during the Roller Coaster yard sale in Kentucky. That runs from Cave City down Hwy 90 and Hwy 63.This was especially bad around Glasgow.
I'm also a full-time eBay seller. I'd be curious to know your objective thoughts about the future of the platform? Do you think it's strong? Or will it become the Myspace of ecommerce platforms soon? No one can argue that the user interface is antiquated and the search functionality is sub-par compared to it's competitors. Couple that with Chinese dropshippers absolutely flooding the platform and the future seems a little bleak to me. It actually just dawned on me the other day that despite the fact that I sell on the platform full time, I rarely purchase on the platform. What are your thoughts?
Just saw your latest video so now I'm binge watching:) Linda on Linda's DIY mentioned you on her latest video...thrift shopping so I thought I'd check you out!! Great job....I too love to thrift ....like Mother Thyme says "it's the thrill of the hunt" :)
Where you in Asheville North Carolina area on this sale? The one gentleman mentioned Smileys Flea Market and that’s our local Flea Market so it was a dead giveaway. He was the guy with the dishes. I would love to run into you at a yard sale. That would be the bomb! Thanks for filming all your sales and just being you. Love to watch you and your hubby.
I don't mind when you point out yard sale etiquette. Some things aren't obvious and should be pointed out. Where I live, residential streets often get blocked by yard sale customers, and the people holding the sale get grief from the authorities, even though they tell the people to park legally, which is hardly fair.
Wait til I show my wife the Fiesta. She collects them. She may just cry. Pretty good prices. Some of the those were retired colors. Wonder how much the dinner plates were?
I hate garage sale people that think they should get eBay or on line prices for their stuff. If they want that much they should just sell the stuff on line and not waste peoples time. Why do people always thing their items are worth hundreds. It amazes me sometimes.
I should have listened to the end. LOL. Ya, I guess directly on a highway in the lane is actually pretty bad. I think the difference here is that our highways are different and couldn't accommodate sales in the first place. LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!
The red outline on today’s video, made me skip past it thinking I had already watched it on RU-vid. Because you know how when you watch it that little red line goes across the bottom? Just so you know, I hate to miss any of your videos.
Man, I lived in phenix city Alabama and worked in Columbus GA when my husband was at ft.benning. I can't believe I missed those sales. How do you keep track of items you buy at a yard sale? I thought about recording just the price i paid while i put it in my truck, but struggling with that. Its almost sale season in Michigan so i have to get it together by April 21st first festival. Someone told me to get a receipt..I will be at sales so much longer then I want to. Every minute lost is a $1 or more lost. I have learned so much from you and your family. Have been selling for years but this year going part time. In hopes to be full time by this time next year. Thank you again. 😊
Leann I remember how much I paid for the items and record it my spreadsheet as I list. It’s much easier to do if you list everything you buy right away which is how we do things now. I then copy and paste the title into my spreadsheet and add cost of goods. Hand written records are used by some but then you are doing twice the work. If you can’t remember what you’ve paid, you can track exactly how much you spend that day and divide it evenly by the number of items you’ve got. Then take you average and account for every item at the same price. Both are completely acceptable for tax purposes. If you take $200 exactly out with you, you can see what you have left at the end of the day and do your average.
