Some of this laws are there since time immemorial.Nobody complaining because nobody even know about it existence.Some to the extend maybe even law enforcer are not aware of its existance. The one about the elephant might be relevant laws years & years ago.But nobody keep track on all those archaic laws.About jaywalking, Im of the oppinion that enforcer know about its existence but opt to not be too strict on it.Having a law & enforcing it are 2 different thing..

Weird based on your tone, your are from British or part of it. Those law's you said weird comes from the British whom oddly follow the law written in UK or India. This laws are written before 1948 which the British insist Malay Federation 1948 to adapt into our law. Insist here mean force so if you think those law's are weird than how about Malaya Federation Citizens whom were forced to used it Worst still we still used UK law's practice and studies unless we did a purged like Indonesia did for example replacing every judge lawyer etc whom study dutch law with laws written by Indonesia themselves. So those weird law got to go so those those whom still insist on hanging to British Common Law or what ever.
