The best part is when he tells you to help with the assaulter center of gravity by trying to wrap your legs around his! 😂. Trust me keep your legs free as a brace when he swings you, you can somewhat catch yourself! Also this is good defense if a midget ever attacks you! 😂. I’ve never seen anything so stupid in my life!
@friktionrc
@friktionrc Год назад
This is great. Might I add, and I know this sort of attack happens quite quickly but if you can manage it, a quick shapr stamp on the attackers foot/toes can help/ or scraping your shoe down their shin (works best when wearing office type shoes with sharp inner edges to the soles)....done this a few times when bigger kids at school used to grab me from the back and try WWF moves on me (yeah tiny asian kid + glasses+1980s = easy target) and it worked...admittedly not all the time but the times it did they let go instantly. Ladies in heels, especially stiletto heels...trust me unless the guy is wearing steel toecaps, he's gonna feel the pain when you stamp down on his foot - remember all you need is a split second to escape.

Literally the first thing you need to do is drop your hips and push then out, then fight hands. Do not under any circumstances lock your arms first, your arms just became the lever at this point. Fundamentals of 5 Point defense in wrestling is what you need here, also wrestles actually do get their hips away first, it just happens like in a split second but it's what prevents them from getting launched, the hand fighting is to help return to a safe position.
@Selfdefensegoat

it is very difficult to get out of this situation, especially since it happens very quickly. It seems to me that you can only hit the striker with your foot and try to somehow partially neutralize the power of this throw. After all, hardly anyone will have such reflexes, and if, in addition, the attacker is a strong person, he will break us anyway.

All bearhug videos are inundated with "self-defense" nonsense. I'm training for the ring, not imaginary situations where my opponent is an idiot. NONE of these will work against a well sized, TRAINED fighter. Open his hands? The first thing a fighter will do is lock his hands. Wrap his legs? He'll pull them back and throw you downwards. Fall downwards yourself? You're getting into a rear naked choke. I need something that actually works.

That was exactly what I was thinking. (Well maybe throw some elbows to reach the head, ears, face) but when i saw he’s head at the center of your back, and he’s height. Naw, he knows what he’s doing. Another thing I automatically saw in 2:15-2:20. The grappler immediately right after you went down with him, he tried to lock he’s left leg around your left hip. Maybe he knows what he’s doing, maybe he doesn’t, that leg maybe went over that hip because of instinct. In the ground with someone is going to be the most exhausting moment of your life and the most scary 😟

The first thing they need to do when they go out into the public--like I tell my kids--is to put that phone away and use it only if it is necessary. They would have more time to react if they are attacked. Reaction time is very critical, but if you are completely submerged in that device and not paying attention to your surrounding, you can be in big trouble. The criminal is watching you when you're busy thumbing that phone up and down.

Has anyone tried lifting/shooting their legs over the top as the are being thrown to roll with the throw and try to amplify the momentum - possibly flipping over the opponent as you do, to land on your knees or even your feet, while the opponent gets twisted bckwards? Don't know if it would work, but would be interesting to try...

If you wrap your leg around my knee, after I have grabbed you from behind, imma just drop forward and elbow your head and or push your face into the ground. Worst case scenario you go down sideways; with the intention to make your waist hit the ground first, with your knees next in line. Even worse you go down sideways and face down at the same time as I grab your entire head with both hands and guide you to the floor. Who the hell gives up their grounding to let someone do this.

I can't tell you how often just not looking at my phone, being aware of my immediate surroundings and standing up straight has kept me out of danger. These cowards are looking for the easy road, so don't look like it.

Sounds like you either have anxiety or get in dangerous situations very often.

@@25-8 I don't have anxiety (not more than the next guy anyway), and it seems like you might be _too_ comfortable in situations where you need your ears open and your eyeballs click. This stuff happens fast- this particular attack in this video is a favorite of these bigger guys that can't actually fight but want to rob and/or brutalize you.
