After hearing hundreds of real-life street fight stories that have actually taken place, I've come to conclusion that wrestling and boxing are the 2 best martial arts for street altercations. Wrestling for self-defense, boxing for self-offence. And if you have time to learn both of them together, well, than you'll be just destroying people left and right.

@@anthoblalay6172 Believe it or not, MMA includes a lot more than just wrestling and boxing. Although looking at the world champions, sometimes it doesn't feel like that.

Nice thing about this it basically works with any rear grab.....meaning it's pretty close to my RNC defense too.

i wrestled varsity my first year on the team and i was terrible... I wish I had learned this technique at the time, it would've saved me from getting slammed and flash KO'd when my head bounced off the mat at a tourney 🤣🤣

I’d say the last scenario where he is pulling you is the most important (stagger if you can manage it) cuz it’s most common in fights.

What about rear bear hug when your arms are trapped? From a surprise attack.
@dannythorne7143

Do the butt bump explosively to create space and pivot immediately to try to face your attacker.it does take practice especially against a much larger and stronger opponent or attacker.

Hey Coach do you have a video for if both arms are trapped? Most of the videos i see in youtube are either to hit the guy in the nuts or somehow step behind him and pick him up.

hey I think you have an opportunity with your channel to grow financially through affiliate marketing. this is where you put links to gear in your description and the company's selling the gear give you money for doing so. Also, something that might help you to grow your subscriber and view count base could be putting your videos into organised playlist. a playlist for wrestling or stand up, a play list for guard, ect. just trying to help because I love your channel and I think you are a technical genius on the mat.

The story you told i think is a perfect example of the " you dont want to go to the ground in a street fight". Well the only way to not be grappled is to use grappling.

Bruce Lee "Use what works." I was able to grapple 2 untrained attackers at once, submitted one with a triangle; in hindsight I could have put the other attacker in a choke too, but didn't think about it in the moment

I just kept getting rear bear hugged from a dude and couldnt break it so i came here. Lots of good details. Looks like he threw me a couple times cause i didnt keep my body down. And i didnt focus my hands to break his grip w intention nor use my thumb. A question on when you finally break their grip. Is it done in a gradual motion or is it accomplished w an explosive hip bump?
