there is money in selling food but not that much location and food quality sells but profit margins are low if you look at time spent in preparation and energy usage and stress involved it's not worth it. I had a friend who worked a cafeteria providing all the dishes she died of a heart attack from the stress involved.

I really enjoy seeing these scenes of normal streets in the Phillipines. Just the normal day to day stuff in your life there is really interesting to see as someone who has never been to the Phillipines. Chris, this is soo cool. In the US, there was a show called Dirty Jobs where the TV dude did a normal job for a day. You can do the same. You can call it "Filipino Jobs". You and Mel are soo good. Congrats on the baby.

Haha..I've been there, done that, Chris...I used to help my fiance with her small sari sari store & bcoz I had worked for me dad as a teen..in his Mom & Pop shop..I grew wary quickly of the whole thing! Hehe...No patience...went back to my "day job" of sleeping, watching TV, eating mangos! 😂😉😎👍

Champorado is a Spanish Word, in English that's Chocolate Porridge using 1 part uncooked rice and 1 part uncooked sticky rice then you cook it in lots of water by the time it reaches it cooking point you start to put cocoa powder and evaporated milk in that mixture you are cooking and a bit of a sugar according to your taste

Chris, Have you tried storing your gimbal in a small bag of rice? I've used that trick after running over my cell phone with my truck which crushed it into the snow. I had "running water" in the case when I opened it up to remove the battery. After a night in some rice, all of the moisture was gone and the phone worked just fine.

I so remember typing you a comment when you first arrived in Phils about not using too many additional/superfluous words from back home in your speech if you don't want to be misunderstood haha. We Brits pack our speech with little sayings that just fly over the Filipino's heads. I'm surprised "I'm gunna luv ya t'death" hasn't caught you out yet Chris :)

I like a good tapsilog breakfast with longanisa or chorizo, sometimes both. For me to eat at home for 50 pesos or less would mean 2 to 3 packages of pancit Shanghai which I made at home more because it was quick and easy than because it was cheap. Eateries can be a money maker.

....Put some plants to separate the store from the noisy, dusty main street (if possible). Use recyclable boxes for the food instead of plastic bags, use plastic glows and a dedicated food handling uniform...including some kind of cover for the hair, ....just my opinion (won't cost much and will give the business some comparative advantage).

Not all the Pilipino are not good in English..as u see some Of the Filipino are still can speak English even we said its a Carabao English compare to the other country even they didn't get a chance to go to school because of the poverty..but we are proud to be a Filipino because we are good of being a hospitality..I am bicolana and I am from Pasacao..
