This haunting and hypnotic selection is from Philip Glass's 1998 digital opera "Monsters of Grace" which he wrote and produced in collaboration with Robert Wilson. The libretto for the entire opera is taken from the writings of the 13th century poet Rumi, as translated by Coleman Barks. The text of this piece is:
"The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don't go back to sleep
You must ask for what you really want
Don't go back to sleep
People are going back and forth across the door sill
- where the two worlds touch -
The door is round and open
Don't go back to sleep"
