Young man, you have a very well developed, attentive and sharp ear. I'm over 60 years old and have been listening to the Beatles since I saw them on The Ed Sullivan Show for the first time when the rest of the US saw them for the first time in 1964. I'm in that exclusive club of original Beatlemaniacs like the countless millions of others who saw them that night. It always does my heart good when I come across young people who like their music and appreciate their musicianship as much as you obviously do. It's pretty cool to find I have something as important in common with someone so young. I'm sure it must sound kind of goofy but you'll get older some day and and you'll then get what I'm talking about. I'm an amateur musician and their music sounds as fresh and uplifting to me now as it did when I first heard it. I have a feeling that you'll feel the same way in 50 years. Damn good job "getting" the music as well as you do! You even taught me a few things with your breakdown of Georges' part. Thank You!

I'm 58, so although I also watched the Ed Sullivan show when the Fab Four, which I call the Fab Five because George Martin was responsible for their sound and actually played piano on some recordings, I was a wee bit too young to remember, or appreciate them at the time. I do have two sisters, one 15 years older, the other 17 years older, and they were responsible for exposing me to all kinds of awesome music from the 50's through to the 70's, which were the indisputable Golden years of rock n roll!! I'm still a huge Beatles fan, I'm also a huge Elvis fan and I love Wings and Motown, The Band, The Who etc etc I could go on all day! I absolutely love The Eagles, had to get that in! It was Elvis and the Beatles that got me started teaching myself to play guitar, and sing, then when I was 17 I started my first band!! We sucked! But the next band sucked a little less, and it was my third band that people stopped trying to pay us to stop! ") Music over the centuries used to be ageless. You can watch old film from the 20 through the 40's and somewhat into the 50's of any large venue, the popular big band clubs and you'll see people from their 20's all the way up to 70's or 80's all socializing and dancing, having a few martinis together and there was mutual respect across the age barriers and everybody is having a great time. Society on whole benefits tremendously when there's no age specific barriers, where people of all ages are socializing and having mutual respect for each other, where everybody can relax and have a great time and music used to be the glue that bonds the ages. When we're at a club, or whatever musical venue you chose you only need to take a look around and you'll see people engaged in all kinds of conversations, exchanging stories, having a laugh sharing ideas and knowledge across the board. Very few social events have that same power to unlock boundaries we all put up to a degree and to make us relax and unwind. Music helps us to drop the facade and just open up and have a good time, even with people we may have just met. Music is a power prescription! But music can also cause aggression and angst. There are a precious few bands in any generation that break through barriers such as age, as the Beatles did. So, that was a long winded journey down the rabbit hole to say what could have been summed up by simply expressing how cool it is to see younger generations are relating to and loving the Beatles music SIX decades in! I can't think of another example of a band from the 60's that has inspired and drawn in a sizable following of the current generation as the Beatles have! It does bode well and gives me hope for the future in an atmosphere of political chaos and social upheaval. I tell you what, even at 58 years old I still firmly believe in the power of music to change dark to light by effecting change in our hearts and to give strength on a spiritual level. It's great to read all these comments from "old school" Beatles fans. I'm 27 and remember hearing and watching that '63 love me do promo video for the first time when I was about 7. And I know exactly what the Ed Sullivan concert meant for your generation because I've experienced that thrill everyone talks about when I've witnessed those four dudes playing love me do for the first time through my computer screen. I had no ideia who they were, but I rushed to my dad and asked him about them. He then showed me some other videos (please mister postman, I wanna hold your hand, don't let me down, and so on). From that day and on, The Beatles became my favorite band. Thanks to them I'm a professional musician and music producer. A few years later I discovered bands like The Who, Pink Floyd, Cream and so on (thanks dad) but I've never ever heard any other band as majestic as the fab4 (and mr Martin, of course) Cheers, my friends.

And another thing, I never hear anybody talking about the vocal tracks of the studio version. Particularly at the end, it is absolutely electrifying, staggering. I’m not even clear exactly what’s going on but it seems Paul is doing this incredibly high sustained harmony while John is crying out the chorus… there’s some screaming going on…. It’s just freaking unbelievable. None of the other versions even come close

Wow. Just wow. Brilliant, my dudes. The other Beatles cover artists on YT (especially that smiling French kid) are selling their guitar collections, burning them and/or are at this moment writing death threats to you boys. Y'all done good with this one. Quick note to Andrew: Could you HAVE bigger hands? Good God, you were born to be a guitarist. Me, I'm lucky if I can reach three frets - what can you do, five? Sheesh. And Neil (well, the both of you, really), I love your enthusiasm for and appreciation of this music. The Beatles really were geniuses who knew intuitively how to craft a great song, without having to put it down on paper. They just knew which parts "worked" where. Paul's bassline in this is incredible. But let's not overlook Ringo's drumming! It really is, as you guys point out, an incredible, wonderful song. Thank you for sharing it with us :)

Haha this is really funny to me because I thought I have tiny hands! Maybe I've just learned to stretch them. I used to play a lot of Eddie Van Halen style when I started. I can stretch from 5th fret B string to 12th fret high E and play those together as an octave, that's my limit
