Love how Ringo often refrained from playing eighth notes on the high hat. Very inventive in how he constructed the underlying rhythm without relying on that cliché.

Improbable? How is the C major scale in a song in the key of C improbable? If anything is improbable, it’s going into the bridge or into the tag. Any time it changes to the key of A is “improbable” using you’re own words… No, “improbable” is a terrible word to describe music. I have never heard someone describe anything in music as “improbable”. Its basic modulation. The VI chord is expected to be A minor, but it instead becomes A Major and is now the root of a new key. It’s a modulation. Not an “improbability”. It 100% happens 100% of the time when listening to the song, it’s probability is consistently 100%. I’ve also never seen somebody spell out something as elementary as the C major scale and not simply recognize it for what it is. It’s not some magical grouping of notes never used before. It’s a descending C Major scale. It’s the white keys on a piano. It’s the music staff with no sharps nor flats. (Missing 2nd scale degree) Of course it’s a incredible moment of the song, but having some belief that there’s something inherently unique amount those notes while calling it “improbable” is kind of astonishing. There’s nothing inherently unique to those notes. The power is in the presence of modulation from C Major to A Major and back to C Major. The modulation is NOT improbable as it happens 100% of the time. It subverts expectations if you’ve never heard it before, it’s exactly what you expect when you’ve known the song your whole life. It’s not improbable, modulation happens every single time somebody anywhere in the world listens to it.

Yes! I used to play this song as part of a tribute band and despite it seeming relatively "simple", it's a beautifully crafted drum part and I worked hard at doing it justice. This is right on the money.

I liked watching the footage and listening to George talking to the rest of the band about this beautiful masterpiece I call it how he had this tune in his head, trying to put words to it and John Lennons response to try plug anything in that gap till it works. George originally wrote it for his wife then Pattie Boyde I believe, years later to say it wasn't.

Thanks guys! Perfect cover, and Thank You especially for playing Ringo at his absolute best. The fills during: "You're asking me will my love grow"...priceless! He never kept a straight beat, he played the damn song! Musicians know exactly what I mean. This is the tune I always use to challenge people who say he wasn't a great drummer. "Play this one, stroke for stroke, please"... I've yet to have "ANYONE" come back and say: "No problem"! I guarantee that besides myself, a lot of other people play drums because of Ringo. Thank You Richey, you are, and always will be the gold standard of how to play! Ringo style, "plays well with others"...…..

I love the fact you guys actually do *full* band covers from scratch! There's a lot of good other channels out there, but they all just play to the actual recording. You guys literally record it all from scratch yourselves and make it sound good. The only thing I'd say on this one is, maybe the snare is a touch too bright. That's fine, all your stuff is really well done. Probably the best i've seen so far

Well Andrew, you guys are really amazing to watch, there’s so many “experts” out there telling everybody how the songs are played, but you guys are definitely THE REAL DEAL, and showing all how they’re played w all diff camera angles, is incredible. Not only showing how but you even emulate the sound! That is another amazing feat! Not exactly sure why, but it's what we like to do. A big inspiration for the channel is live footage of the beatles, any time George does a solo, the camera man turns and points to a bunch of screaming girls. Even rooftop, George is ripping a solo, 'let's check out some people walking around on the street.' So I thought it would be nice if you could see what everyone is doing

Ably House , that’s so funny , I agree totally. I’ve had that same thought practically about Jimi Hendrix! At the time considered to be the best guitarist in the planet and what do most cameramen do? Zoom the camera on his face! I cannot even watch the Woodstock footage because I get so aggravated with the cameraman who must’ve been high at the time ! As far as You can’t do that, I may have watched it quite a while ago. I believe I saw some of your original-videos of some of those. But I have to find them again. Did you also talk in your early videos about how Lennon strummed the guitar? Or was it just a video of you playing the songs? I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on all this stuff. I’m extremely impressed initially with you, but now also with your two buddy’s Neil and Brendon. Are you guys in USA or UK?

sejrec56 - Im in Chicago, Neil is in New York, and Brendan is in LA. We all spread out so it can be hard to get videos done but everyone is dedicated and they come to chicago to work as well as sending lots of files. I may have done it on Ably House Isolated. An cover of mine also has the isolated tracks on a different channel. Just add isolated to the search term. You can also click on my channel to search through the videos Ive uploaded. I feature the Isolated channel on my page as well. And I totally agree, the woodstock footage is hard to watch. Its a lot of 60s bands with close up face shots. Maybe theres a reason for it. I know George asked to not be shown for All You Need is Love. But its sad no one go the shot. I love watching old blues legends like Lonnie Johnson or John Lee Hooker. They have some really nice close ups of Boom Boom Boom
