I am 63 year old female. My husband is 65 this year. He is really struggling to keep being a truck mechanic. His muscles have failed him. Its only experience that keeps him going. He might be able to retire at 67 years with a government age pension . I still have 4 years until the government age pension. if the government does not run out of money first. We feel the same as you. We go from planning our lives 12 months ahead to not being able to plan ahead for even one month. My ego has long gone , I tottally rely on the god / good from within. I meditate daily . Even though I live a long way from all the world fighting, there is still spill over of hate in my country.

Your cares and ambition can imprison you. Envy of what others have can cause you to suffer. JESUS teaches to not worry what others are doing. Other people ambitiously strive their whole life to get a pat onthe back from others, and they're a slave to that. Thats why I'm Christian, Praise JESUS. GOD was a homeless man.

l have no joy. l have accepted it, because in the end it doesn't matter. l cannot bring anything with me to "afterlife" (if there is any), so my sadness, my joy, my stuff, all will be left behind.
Dear jon thank you for so honest atitude you have.one detail,on minute 12:00 and before as well,you talk about the feeling to buy things,and that you didnt folow it,just observed it...i would say it is more a mental,thinking..than feeling.not sure,but the traditional budhist aproach i believe is observing the mind and sensations of the body and the breathing, i never heart of observing the feeling.Anyway, i just want to add to the topic,no critic,i am greatfull to be on this path,can sahre with people like you.for this conciousness. i am greatfull for this oportunity.
I think now a days, everybody is working banks to pay EMIs. It is very difficult to come out from this situation as don't know what to do if we don't want to pay EMIs 😀😀
