wired like xmas tree lights even though there in 2 halfs the power supply wants to see both halfs at approx 150 - 190 vdc and sees the leds as one strip. The power supply is a smart cookie, it looks at the current drain of the leds, too high to low it will shut the power down to the leds of even the complete tv.
Not the case in this one. It also needs the screen attached, which stops you being able to make an adjustment to get the best light spread. I have just uploaded part 2.
"A curved screen is the same as a flat screen just set in a curved frame" See, that's worth the price of admission right there Cheers from So.Ca.USA 3rd House On the Left.
I have this exact tv i use it with the backlight turned wright down so hopefully it lasts a long time other than it constantly has ARC problems now and then its a fine tv just hitting 4 years old this year Great vid Alan
The edge lights are out, but are there any other faults ? I hope the set from ebay bring this set back to life. This sort of issue will become more common as the makers push for brighter panels and users leave them at full brightness, and they call it progress ?
