I didn't realize I was this early to the video. Clicked on the home page, finished watching, I scroll down and see the video has 7 views lol. Very nice material tho!
I don't have my own computer, so I use my parents work computer. I have broken the w and o key and the space, shift and asd keys are getting loose. I really need a good keyboard. I broke the O key trying to replace the W key. The W key doesn't even have the rubber cap.
@TheSirKaplan, this giveaway would be awesome. I've been in an office chair for far too long and need something much more comfortable to work with and record music. Love seeing your videos and you're quickly becoming my new favorite tech tuber.
I always chose the clicky switches, even though I always found them quiet loud. Logitechs gl clicky switches were really nice, but just kind of noisy. When I found out that there was a g915 tkl keyboard, I bought one after looking into switches a bit more. They only had tactile switches, but I do not regret it. The gl tactile switch is currently my most favourite switch I have ever used.
I am keyboard noob and got my first mechanical keyboard this week...Razer Blackwidow Elite with Orange switches....like you said I did a fair amount of online research since I couldn't get them myself. Read a lot of positive feedback for the Orange switches and got a sweet price on Amazon ($85) and pulled the plug... Great content...keep it up @parag4u
I'm a high diamond low masters Genji player. 3% of players worldwide get to where I am in Overwatch, and I can tell you that you 100% do not need the fastest switch. I personally use the steel series apex pro but I have people I play with that area GM+ that use cherry switches
my ideal keyboard is with an aluminium board, really good and customiseable rgb, and good dedicated media buttons. (spillproof would be nice haha) but dont really feel like something that perfect for me really exists.
i feel that all switches are to light for me especially when i bought my ducky panda edition but after i put in some 150 g springs, it feels great for me. speed silver switches.
Your channel has provided so much info for me with mechanical keyboards! It's been super helpful with my journey of getting one of my own! I'm super interested in the giveaway, but I don't have much in the way of socials, sorry :(
I ordered my first keyboard, got a black widow elite with green switches and I’ve been seeing people hate on clicky keyboards. Is it a bad choice? I don’t want to overthink it until the keyboard comes in but I’m worried now
When I first started to get interested in mechanical keyboards I first got a keyboard with kailh blue switches. I liked the clickity clack and the tactile bump, but the novelty wore off pretty quick. Now my two main keyboards that I use have outemu reds and cherry mx brown switches, and I really don't miss the tactile bump. on the other hand my wife actually loves the sound of tactile switches and now uses one of my old tactile keyboards. And for the chair giveaway @realMonstruM
I don't game at all, like - not even a little bit - but I've been working at my computer all day since COVID, and I LOVE my Razer orange switches. Tactile and quiet - couldn't be happier in that regard. Edit: I don't have a Twitter :'(
Best suggestion: buy incrementally, but everytime more expensive board till you reach high end ones. It is both fun and interesting and fun again. bes thing to try switches is buying three types of them and then sell ones you don;t like @DBronusas
love the vid and would love to build my own if any TKL kit was ISO compatible... also PT-PT layout keycaps need to be custom ordered so yeah... great for me...
@DuncanMattson is my Twitter handle. I just built my first custom board and it is absolutely worth ever penny. If you use a keyboard everyday seriously look into a custom or hot swap you can mod. Just be aware you may never be able to use a prebuilt board again. Lol
Do you know of anywhere I can buy one of those Razer switch testers you showed? I think those are super cool and would like to get one for my collection.
As far as I know those testers are only used as promo devices. Sometimes I get some to giveaway or for stuff like that. I don't think you can buy them but it would be a great idea for them to sell them for 5-10 bucks I think.
@@Brainbean that would be awesome if they did sell them, I think it would be cool to just display on my desk, hopefully they give some away, that would be cool.
Built my first gaming PC last month, and bought a Ducky One 2 Mini (all white with RGB lighting) based only on appearance. I didn’t spend any time researching keyboards unlike my build, and had never even heard of keyboard switches nor Ducky and just bought what looked nice. It has Cherry MX Red switches which enthusiasts don’t seem to approve of but I use a controller for my gaming anyway, and I am satisfied with the keyboard. It’ll last me a while but i’ll be sure to research properly the next time I need one! @Linkisk
@@Brainbean thank you for the link. The Mouse pad is 16 pounds from the UK Amazon and ... it has a 8 pounds of shipping :) Thank you for the video though
Switch "speed" is a complete myth. If it has a shorter actuation, then that means it has a longer reset. I can spam a standard switch faster then I can spam a "speed" switch.
Keyboard mods is probably another good topic to cover in this video. Someone might hear a sound test of cherry reds that are lubed and filmed but then buy them themselves and be disappointed in the sound! Also I’d love to have this chair, would be a huge upgrade from the office chair I got loaned😳 @Idvxls
Decided to finally take the plunge into getting a "proper" MK, so I'm definitely falling deeper into the research rabbit hole. I learned a fair amount of tips in this video. Thank you. Btw, feel free to shoot that chair over to @OMGmcdev ^_^
For me, building is a bit out of budget right now, but I am trading my K95 for a Drop CTRL which at least is an entry point into building later on since it's hotswap. I normally feel the need to try out a new switch every few months so this is a great option for me vs. buying a whole new board every time. That and the fact that the K95 has the nonstandard bottom row doesn't play well with my OCD when putting on custom caps. Oh! Twitter handle is @AllenWhiteJr
This chair would really help my setup progression, anyway great videos btw 👍. They sort of got me started into keyboards and I am thankful, bout to build myself a tofu 60 with black inks. Look forward to seeing your videos in the future 🙂 @JosefMarriott
excited to get my new keybs, bought the KBD67 Lite (was in a group buy, cant wait for it to be delivered) and planning on getting NK65 Entry! @MyNameisTommi
Secretlab giveaway?!?!?! You have outdone yourself this time @Brainbean Love this video... definitely highlighted some of the differences people should look for in keyboards... and it hit home for me. I'm one of the people that you spoke of that isn't afraid to open his wallet for a nice keyboard for under $300, but am on the fence about trying to step into the custom build-my-own keyboard. I have tried to solder and lets just say it didn't end well. I'm definitely going to revisit the thought of upgrading (mostly because I want a clickier switch than my current cherry mx reds) even though I'm still loving my Corsair K95 RGB purchased a while ago when your channel featured them regularly. It would have been perfect if it had come with browns but I had to learn somehow. Thanks for everything you do. Hope I win that chair... would LOVE to try a Titan.
I just discovered your RU-vid Channel today and I am really happy I did! Right now I'm doing research to buy/build my first Gaming PC. Sadly I still have to wait a year or two until I have all the money. But that's okay because now I have a goal to work for. Your videos are really helpful to a newbie like me. Because before I didn't even know about the different kind of switches. It would be really nice to have such a good quality chair because I probably couldn't afford it myself but It's fine if I don't win it. I mean what are the chances? But I could at least give it a try, right? @Ace_the_devil
Amazing guide! Always nice to see good content focused in helping beginners to make the right choice in peripherals without wasting $$$. And yeap, I'll take that nice chair thank you! 😂 (@iosamfranco)
@ just_sp3ctr3 love your channel and your thorough reviews. I sound cliche lol, but yea a chair would be super cool to revamp my setup. Also cloud 9 large chair would be so cool
I recently ordered parts for my first keyboard build and I made the mistake of ordering my PCB from KPrepublic... three weeks later everything except the PCB has arrived. Hope it arrives soon (if ever!) For the giveaway, Twitter handle: @trashinheck
I'm waiting for some pieces to arrive to build my first custom keeb. Really cheap build and I'll have to learn how to wire it, since I couldn't get a matching pcb. But hey, it's been really fun to start a new hobby. @equlsa
hey i’m sorta earlyyyyy! i love your channel soo much and your the main reason i’m into keyboards now! i’m also subbed to your asmr channel ❤️ no socials tho😔
my whole family recently got covid and I’ve been feeling sick recently too. So I’m home even more with online school and my current bad squeaking chair Drives me insane! Twitter @KarmaZMQ
I have been eyeing a certain keeb in my country it's called lam-ang pro tkl universal hot-swap Bluetooth capable comes with either kailh bronze and kailh box white and usb-c. @WilliamAngIII
Hiya brainbean, I have watched your stuff for quite a while and I have to say you are my favorite RU-vidr that does any kind of keyboard/mouse/etc stuff. you are extremely informative, and you explain things well while being entertaining. on the topic of this video itself, I personally wouldn't stress the removable cable as much as other features, if you have a little knowhow and a soldering iron it would only cost around 5$usd to convert a non-removable cable to a USB-C removable cable. The other factors of a keyboard are far more important. I used to completely disregard any keyboard that didn't have a removable cable until I learned it's actually really cheap and easy to change them. though I'm still running an old 20$ keyboard because I don't have enough for the one that I want. anyway if I do happen to win I am @MistressAngelLP and thanks for taking the time to read this, have a fantastic day.
I get my first mechanical keyboard for Christmas 😁. Im coming from the k55 so i hope i like it. But i can use a new chair 💺. @Roderik or @Roderik16150541. Im new to Twitter haha
I just got my first gaming keyboard though it's not mechanical. Logitech G213. Although I am starting to consider a mechanical 60 to 86 percent because this keyboard takes up too much room and I'd like to know if the mech. will up my game. @Frodar1
Last year i got my first low profile mechanical keyboard with blue switches and it felt amazing at first but now I'm tired of the loud clicks 😂😭 Thanks for the helpful video! @L3gacyAnge1 twitter
