Don't Make These Genshin Impact Mistakes!

I dont think he mentioned this, but collect literally everything you can. Even if you don't need it or want it right then. If you can, fight every monster. He did mention chests, but make sure you take everything that's in that chest, don't sort through the loot, you have an enourmous inventory. see that flower? Go out of your way to get that damn flower. You'll need it later. Covet sweet flowers like they're the holy grail of food, because you'll need sweet flower and sweet flower products a LOT.

1. Repeatedly Dash 2. Mark Your Map 3. GET EVERY LOOT YOU SEE 4. Don't Be Cheap With Resources 5. Use Blue/Purple Weapons 6. Check Stats

mistake number 69: don't play so serious, have fun playing the way you feel like! you'll eventually know how to play correctly and etc, no need to rush! :3

me who just started genshin impact yesterday: *watches and understands practically nothing*

I just hit AR40 and just learned that leveling your AR too fast is gonna give you a hard time in the end. I leveled from AR35 to 40 just by doing dailies and weeklies. Speed running through quests just levels your AR too fast and when WL increases with a still not strong enough main would give you a bad time. Just play in moderate pace. So much content would be missed out when your too focused on getting stronger. Just stop and smell the flowers once in a while before picking them up. Enjoy the sceneries. Its a beautiful game hands down. Theres a reason the devs put so much effort beautifying the game as they want you to enjoy. Whenever i go chest hunting or materials gathering I always end up looking at the horizon captivated by the games beauty. Keep grinding

Mistake number 9: Not reading the hints they give you at the bottom after meeting new monsters-

Me: Walks around and picks up what ever I find

For begginers I recommend you main kaeya and electro types for dps. They are also good at dealing with most opponents

That’s- that’s because Barbara’s basic attacks have the hydro element. Whereas Fishl doesn’t have Electro imbued in her basic attacks. If she did it would have an elemental reaction and take out the abyss mage shield or stun the pyro regisvine much faster.

Mistake Number 69420: It’s okay to not understand everything at first. The game is complicated! Take your time and try not to get too frustrated with artifacts and such. You’ll get there!

Mistake number one: not paying attention to the amazing story, you know who you are.

As a new player who tries to make everyone super powerful instead of focusing on one team, this helps a lot. I had to keep running around to collect items to try and ascend all my weapons and characters and it always leaves me with hardly any more materials left, but I always thought it was because I’m under leveled, so hearing that I was actually making a mistake and that I need to focus on one team helps a lot :)

Two months into Genshin and I am still learning. Great guide, MTashed. :) At level 50-60 (and beyond) the amount of XP, Mora, etc. needed to level up characters is quite steep. You'll have to kill e.g. 4-5 Electro hypostases just to get enough materials to ascend 1 character. Focusing on like 4 characters and their weapons and talents and artefacts up to level 60+ is more than grindy enough for me (at AR 43 right now). It's such a steep learning curve/resource curve.

Mistake number 0: watching this when you can’t even do like 50% of the mistakes bc you haven’t unlocked them yet

Mistake 1: Being born 🙂 4 months later I see this comment that I made and damn... what a stupid comment

For the resin, my advice is to not use your fragment resins UNTIL you are at least AR45+ because you would need them to get better artifacts. As for upgrading your team, I suggest focusing on 4 characters first and then another four after because the first half of the Spiral Abyss only uses one party whilst the second half requires you to have another party. For shield abyss mages, here are some tips: Pyro> use Hydro. Hydro> use Cyro and Pyro the shit out of it. Electro> use Cyro for super conduct. So far Mora is easy to gain as you do daily quests, story quests, random events, bounty hunts, etc. It's those gems that are super hard. Artifacts are a must so make sure you do your research on which artifacts best suit which character the most.

This was so helpful! Definitely some things I was doing wrong, but thankfully I was doing a few things right. I love how this isn't just generic advice!

Another good example of a 3 star weapon that actually pretty good is the fillet blade. I keep one around as a "filler weapon" for characters that don't have a better weapon. It's effect on single targets at max refinement is just devastating.

Use tall characters like Diluc or Kaeya for dash spams. They dash a wider distance than small characters and use the same amount of stamina.

These aren't mistakes they are literally just a different type of game play. Not everyone wants to play this seriously some people just want to walk around and collect pinecones and take pictures of scenery

A good tip for new players please don't stress yourself on building multiple characters 👍 just focus on one there isn't any rush take your time

"or you see a geoculous, grab it now because you're not going to remember where they are" Me : Or you mark your map, go grab traveler, and go to morax's statue to change into geo (if you are anemo/electro and don't have kazuha/zhongli/venti). OR another way, mark the map, and grab your friend who has zhongli or venti

I'm a fairly good player that knows all the tricks and stuff. When I first clicked on this I thought it was clickbait or just bad advice, but this is a very informative and easy to understand video with pretty much everything a beginner needs to know. Keep up the good work!

i spent about five months in genshin just... exploring. opening teleport waypoints, learning how to move around the map, trying all the diff (and few) character i got. only now i am beginning to use my characters to... well, fight. but before that, i would leave my world open and the ar50+ people would just enter and fight for me, it was so much fun, and i made a lot of friends this way

I saw this video like couple months ago when i started the game now currently in ar 56, Gosh it has been a lot of while since i started And i still follow some of these tips he gives like dashing through instead of running

Mistake number 9: Forgetting that this is not a competitive game and you can just play the way you see fit with the characters you like. Don't forget to actually have a good time playing this game while creating the "perfect team" and "making no mistakes". Edit: Well, this blew up

7:15 for new players, I recommend saving fragile resin. When I first joined genshin (sep 2020) I used to use my resin all the time, and the 120 resin was a HUUUGE problem. New players, you are lucky with 160 resin. Use it wisely.

I am on adventurer rank 27 right now and i pretty much knew all of these tips but it is a great video. Keep it up👍

Honestly the multiple character artifact/weapon thing is a great tip, I ran out of mora so many times, which is concerning considering how easy it is to grab

the struggle when you want to focus on a few characters but other characters just look so enticing

Hey i’m AR 20 and thanks for this I learned a few new things and my plan was to spend only on the main character and have the others a bit leveled up enough to sirvive as his backup for the element combos and breaking sheilds and armor! I will gather resources to make one op character at a timr til I have a full op team obviously it might take months or even years but I’ll have fun and achieve smaller goals til i reach that one :) encourage people to do the same

Ugh, omg. For any new players, that might be discouraged after watching this video: There's so much to do in Genshin besides fighting. You can explore the map, learn to cook different recipes, collect achievements, collect and read books, furnish your teapot, fish... You can switch the characters in your party not only because of stats but because you want to increase their friendship and unlock their stories... Different gameplay is NOT a mistake. The devs put all those things there because they WANTED you to enjoy them. It doesn't mean you 'don't play the game seriously' if you don't rush through the game like a shieldwall mitachurl killing everything in its way. The ONLY mistake is to reduce Genshin to a hack and slash game. I'm at AR35 (for a week now and I intend to keep it like that for another week), I'm gradually upgrading 6 characters, and I have never ran out of mora, resin, or materials, nor did the game turned into a grinding chore. So don't worry, sprint, run, play, and enjoy it the way YOU want. You don't get points for speed, you know.

The last tip hits hard, I am that person who levels up multiple characters at once, their weapons and their talents. I can’t help it!! I’m AR 50 and most of my characters are lvl 60-70 the lowest, and 80 the highest. And their DMG ranges from 800-2,000. I wouldn’t say it’s a bad thing to do but it does slow you down in the long run. My highest DPS is Childe! He does about 2,000 something DMG. I should try to focus on one character whenever I do get on though.

I like to add that if you need mora, another way to earn some is by the bloom of wealth and you can use your daily resin refill to farm it

Yep, the first real test I've done in Genshin was the dash vs sprint test. Other points are arguable. For example, I level 20 of my characters almost equally, and because of this, I have a massive advantage in any fight (if I know the enemies). Because I can choose the team which does the job effortlessly. I'm not limited by this stupid excuse "oh I have BeiDou but she is level 20". And this is exactly my answer to point 2. I can always pick a proper character for the job, even if this is something exotic like "who can take this projectile head-on and survive" or "how the hell can I get rid of the annoying bebuff in this domain".
