As ruby main, I've been playing with petrify instead of flicker because in late game, flicker hook seems to work less effective with lesser towers and there is the possibility of missing the flicker and wasting of the skill. While petrify will allow team to have more time to deal damage and the split seconds for cool downs to be ready.
Same here .and plus, petrify can also help you secure kills as well while also make a surprise cc when in teamfights since ruby is pretty unpredictable
Honestly I used to use the Aegis as an extra shield. But recently I have found that using the flame shot as extra cc move is surprisingly effective way of killing enemies. Both as a way of forcing them towards allies and as a way of keeping them under towers. It’s hilarious to watch them try to escape just to be pushed back in. Sure if doesn’t do much damage but it is surprisingly effective 😂
I'm so happy you decided to play my main Ruby, I mostly play her as roamer since it's the only role available most of the time, my teammates don't want to roam, so I roam in order to adjust
Nico POV: scrolling through comments to find a compliment on his rap at the start of the video No worries brother, it was appreciated. I backtracked 5 times to hear that
Hallo I'm the nerd here nerding out how the Melad System works! (And why you get the Silver medal because that's the hardest one to understand compared to Bronze and Gold :3) Kills + Assist = Team Participation%. For instance, if you got 3K 7A out of a team total kills of 20; 3+7=10; 10/20 = 50% Team Fight Partecipation! Damage to Turrets is pretty self explanatory, same as Hero Damage. NOW, the BIGGEST part! Damage Taken! It takes into consideration The total damage you have received and compares it with your deaths, and not only that! The Medal type (Not the score) gets compared amongst your team mates, that's why you get Silver when your other 4 mates got gold! It compares performance amongts yourselves, essentially telling you "You played well but your team played better" that's why the Silver! But how did our hero get Silver in this match considering he played well? Well, because as you can see, he did 16% Damage to heroes without securing any kills (0K-7D-21A), meanwhile the jungler Balmod also did 16% damage but secured 9 Kills! And not only that, Balmod received 30% Damage, while dying 6 times. Meanwhile Ruby (our protagonist) received 22% Damage and died 7 times. So of course, he received less damage than Balmod but died more than him? Did the same damage to heroes but got 0 Kills? ML is comparing their scores, keep it in mind! With those stats but a worse team, Ruby would have gotten the MVP. That's why Hanabi got a Gold Medal despite having a score of 7.8, only 0.2 less than Ruby. Because if you look at the stats of all the teammates, Hanabi did the most damage out of them (27%) and pushed the most turrets (64%, more than half the total team push was done by her, to she gets rewarded). Now, keep in mind that Medal "type" is a somewhat good estimate on how you and your team perfomed in the match, but it doesn't mean it's 100% accurate. For instance, in one of my last matches I had a Kimmy with a 15-5-11 (26 Team Partecipation out of a total of 36 team kills), and all she did was taking kills. Kept telling us "Launch Attack!" for ganks but she just hid in bushes nearby while me (Edith) and our Tank (Grock) were engaging, CC-ing the enemy assuming she said to Attack because she was ready to engage, of course, she left as all to die in vain 'cause we had 0 damage (since we had her and moskov, I decided to just build tank and CC them) so we essentially got baited hard nearly every team fights, and ended up losing. Despite this she got the MVP, while I think all of us (especially if you were spectating the match) would believe the reason we lost is because in team fights we had no damage and the reason for it was a Kimmy absent despite her telling us to engage while hiding in bushes nearby. This as to say that, if you get a Chocolate Medal, don't let it get to you, the system is not perfect, you could be making all the "right" plays with the "right" mindset and ideas, but at the end of the day, if you tank all the damage of the enemy, getting 50% damage taken, with a score of 0-30-26) you died at the end because your team lacked the damage or the brains to focus their DPS before they kill you, you may take the Bronze medal because the kills your allies get after you die sometimes don't give you the assist, despite you being the punching ball on which the enemy wasted their skills, making them easier to get caught and die). So don't let it get to you, but now that you know how important is the Deaths to Damage taken ratio, use flicker and tanky junglers and you'll get more gold/MVP medals more often. ;)
like how MLG posed videos of him being defeated and told us the mistakes we need to avoid. Appreciate that! I rly hate when RU-vidrs only post videos which they hv the upper hand and dominate the game all the time 😅😅😅 not ideal for everyone esp in solo q
you should have gotten your Athena first instead of Oracle and get Oracle later, because your opponents where already having good burst dmg, athena would have helped you more in staying in the battle field
@@Amai_Saki "Hey did you here there is kids missing lately" "Oh that's Bad" "On the other note did you here about the anime skin promo of mlbb they said there is a waifu skin there that cost a lot of money"
Nico uploads make me happy, please do more in depth guide like your Wan Wan guide it made me play WW and she's my main no tho I am nowhere as good as you but I would like to be
You asked around 7:25 that you asked why ruby is not picked a lot. It's cuz usually there's anti-heal on the enemy team which makes Ruby's effectiveness go down esp. with a hybrid build and compared to other fighters she's not as tanky. The current meta is basically either burst fighters or really tanky fighters.
I think as an exp laner, she is not that good now. As a roamer, she is still good. It is better not against the enemies team with lots of cc so she can stack out her passive. She is a suitable hero to match up combos, like Kadita and Guinevere because you make your target linger there for a long time. And she is mobile not like Tiger and not useless without an ult like Atlas, who are also sutible tank for making combos with your teammates.
I'd consider myself 7.5 out of 10 as an amazing roamer and i agree with everything you said especially the quote "can't protect them from themselves" I'm a roamer main 😅
Purchased Popol and his wolf definitely a tricky character to master Master he's slow in the early game but devastating in the late game specially it you jungle too help get the lvls up
Only thing to maintain while using him is the traps Place the traps in bushes so it provides vision Also never get too close to enemies and always keep a distance U can use skill 1 and then ult immediately to skip the animation of Popol stomping his feet
Hanabi: Ignore lane and just a average grandmaster player Lapu Lapu: No map awarness Vale: Always out of position Balmond: trash hyper And u almost won
@@doomslayer039 At the start of the season I lost 2 matches in a row having like 28 6, dominating early and mid game, due to 4 useless feeders in epic Hell. I had similar thing in Master and Grandmasted - I have 2 or 3 to 1 KD as Yin and I go "I just need to not die" and went "Blue lock". That is how I got 66.7% wr pre Mythic as Yin (62% pre Mythic overall) in solo Q.
@@doomslayer039 I assume that they will go lord and whole team will die and just split push the opposite line as Yin. Often the enemies do not notice me in time and pay for it. Now I try Helcurt to be jungler split pusher, capable to even better backdoor win vs enemies. Also the upcoming changes making junglers even more OP (already in the test server) will change the META.
As someone who used to main Ruby: Ruby is ULTRA unappreciated when it comes to stats. You could literally hold the team together, and you will still come in third place on the ratings. I know it shouldn't bother me, because I kept winning, but then I hit the final stages of epic hell. I have hit mythic before with Ruby, but that final stage is always a pain because I always had to carry. Instead of the constant assistance mindset, I found it refreshing to be an opportunist maining Yin. Getting to Legend was only obstructed by my own bad performances, or people who the algorithm accidentally misplaced. I still love Ruby, but 66% win rate as a ranking Yin is hard to refute, especially when your team still feels incohesive. Still, you should prioritise winning over stats. Pick what works for you, and focus on winning games rather than kill count.
My first main was probably a mage then went for mm the next tank then come back to being a mage main only then i decided to go all-rounder except being a jungler
So it’s not just me then? I admit I haven’t been playing that well for the most part either but I swear the algorithm is setting me up with worse and worse teammates.
I just laugh my ass off this video. XD I find alot of players like Lapu Lapu in this match. They don't come and assist you when you are engaging nearby.
Thank you for the vid! It was fun 😂 but also: why did you get dominance ice instead of Athena shield? Enemies had 2 burst magic damage and oracle is definitely not enough here
Alex Josef A asked for the bgm song Nico started using so I quick searched it It's Naruto Blue Bird but Lofi HipHop maybe it's Silhouette idk anmore it's 12 AM here
12:05 This is literally what happened with me, losing at the time, minions pushing, our jg dead and my team kept chasing the enemy even tho the clear disadvantage and died. Knew it was over so just killed a hanabi, stayed at base and recalled. What made me not even want to try and defend is that they were trashtalking me from early game saying how I wasn't roaming when our mage literally never cleared the minion wave and the enemy did, I had to stay and def ;-; Tell me if I did something wrong pls
1. Its better to try and die, rather than recall at base. If hanabi died it means there is no mm to push, and many tank triple kills/maniacs are born from teams trying to force an end without an mm. Just clear the wave and if you cannot, force the enemy to hit you so base attacks them. 2. Tell your mage that they need to clear mid and if they don't listen, you should still roam/support the mm instead of dealing with mid. Always support what will be the strongest side late game as a tank/support and always be there for turtle. Usually strongest side late game is mm, but could be a late game type mage like cecilion or a jungler if mm is retarded. There are usually signs of retarded mm, like not bothering engaging on a stun, or actively moving in front of a support in lane. Do not bother clearing mage lane before 5 min unless convenient as a roamer, your job is to roam, not babysit and clear lanes. Mage lane is the hardest to push due to squishy minion waves. The enemy mage is'nt getting much gold plating due to the squishy minions and if they try, its suddenly a free kill against most mages. If your mage is roaming, roam with them so they can come back faster. Your job is never to clear lanes. Worst offense as a tank is when the mage is coming back for the lane but its already cleared, so of course the will not return to mid and end up messing up their timing and eating side lane farm. 3. After 5 minutes, knowing your mage is a chronic lost child and road trip camper, consider molten essence to clear waves. Pretty cheap and can speed up clear for minion waves by 2x for tank roams. If there is a franco then nvm.
TLDR Roamers have to roam, even if the team sucks at wave management. Lane management is not your job, and is painfully slow without molten essence/cursed helm(only complete item as a hp tank) anyways. Know who is salvageable, help them. Never steal farm as long as the laner looks like he is returning back on the map. Even if you have to stall the minions outside tower by body blocking. Never give up, unless everyone is ready to give up. At least prevents getting reported, and ML sometimes allows for miracles to happen.
@@dtly50 also I normally don't give up, I literally didn't want to give my team the win at that time. Blocked and hopefully won't see them ever again..
@@editimpact66 That changes things abit XD. As her wave clear is as bad/worse than most tanks, same things apply except no more cursed helmet to fix things and instead of helping strongest late game, target the weakest early game hero on the enemy team. I normally play tank but one of the most painful games I had was as an mm being targeted by a selena. Your job is to destroy other ppls mental, not destroy your own with mid lane minions.
7:37 the first problem is of course why people not pick ruby is the moment alone where there no minion she can't regen and not many people understand that ruby as hybrid is can't do much damage and left her alone witch is dangerous... also ruby as EXP lane is hard to play when now day there just to much crazy EXP hero...
Bro can u try claude?u just need to farm as fast as u can.ex:clean ur lane quickly with ult and go mid lane clear the minion.and having a snowball with ur counter side
Day [2] of writing comments that are Trivia, Skill Desc. and guides to hero of Video: [Trivia] Despite popular beliefs, Calamity Reaper is NOT the weapon of Ruby as it doesn't look remotely close to her weapon (which I call Crescent Rose coz :v). Also, Ruby is heavily inspired by Red Riding Hood's Ruby design and combat design of RWBY'S Ruby Rose [Ruby Rose's weapon is a scythe named Crescent Rose ;)] Ruby has the highest Lifesteal multiplier among all heroes. Another hero with high X multipliers is Ling, Belerick and Hylos. [Skills] Passive: Ruby has 10% lifesteal for free. She gains increased lifesteal from items and emblems. She converts lifesteal into spellvamps so, All her skills benefit from lifesteals but her basic atk has no lifesteal effects. She jumps wherever movement joystick is after casting a skill, each jump increases Phy. And Mag. Defense (upto to 3 stacks). Skill 1: Ruby slashes in front of her dealing dmg, during slash she releases a wave that deals dmg and slows enemies. Skill 2: Ruby swings her scythe around dealing dmg twice and pulls them towards herself per dmg stunning them. Ult: Ruby pulls all target in a conical area towards, stunning and slowing them. [Guide] 1. If you know how to maintain Mana, buy 2 Vampire Mallets to get great sustain if your EXP. (MLG himself uses this) 2. You can Flicker+Ult forward or backwards to surprise enemies. 3. [This shocked Isoya btw] If you use skill 1 and skill 2 immediately and dashed, you actually gain 2 stacks of her passive. 4. Ruby has Low CD so use her Skill 1 to check bushes, if you get healed then there is an enemy in bushes. Only works if you dont have full HP. 5. Despite her tankiness, it isn't advised to remain in battle for too long as 1 CC can shut her down even with Resilience. 6. Her build MUST include Ha'as Claws unless you know how to go pure tank. 7. Beginners are to use a Hybrid Build: Def.Boots, Bloodlust, War, Oracle, Domi Ice, Immortality/Athena. 8. Keep stacks high before engaging by repeated spam of skill 1. 9. Watch Isoya Yasuji's guide on Ruby. Due to how rare she gets adjustments, his 202X videos are still worth watching. 10. Ruby is best girl
