What union level are you guys currently at? edit: Looks like you can get Gold versions of echoes u only have at purple or lower, but only if ur data bank allows u to get gold. So solid way to level databank from level 17 to 18-20. honestly, merging is almost as fun as summoning to me 😅

i think they couldve done a lot more with the merge feature by making it into a persona like fusion system, where specific echoes could be fused into a different specific echo. so you could farm the ingredient echoes and target the cooked echo that way too.

It's great to see you progress so fast despite rerolling a bunch of times. It doesn't matter if people ask if your account is f2p, because let's face it, there's too much grinding to do in the game despite having spent any amount. Keep up the quality content, Volkin! The grind never stops.

You can get purple and gold version of any echo you capture at least 1 time of any rarity. I tried it multiple time

From my testing, you can get new higher tier echos for leveling your data bank but only for those echos you have already unlocked. For example you found a 2 Star echo through exploring. After playing the game and upgrading your data bank level to e.g 12, you could get a 3 or 4 Star version from the Merge from that echo type, but you cant unlock new echoes which u havent found yet.

Ah I see. Yeah, I was slightly trigger happy on this, but fortunately I think I only got rid of the green echoes, blues and purples still in tact.

It makes sense to abstain from this system, EXCEPT when it causes your data bank to level up - because that also increases the level echoes obtained in the world.

You can obtain a higher rarity Echoes from this. I got a few five stars Echoes, which I only unlocked until 4-stars rarity, and obtained a lot of Data Bank Exp from it. Starting to use this function when I'm at Data Bank Level 15 to get gold Echoes.

These videos are a godsend, I’ve been taking my time with that game. So ya’ll catch these things just in time for me.

If no one else has said it, I got purples for things I only had blue for when i was trying to get some higher rarity echoes for stat purposes. High rarity materials is 4 cost boss echoes.

You can get purps and gold rarities from data merge, thats how i got my data bank from 17-18.

I recommend going through the echoes you want to keep and lock them. From there, I would just auto click it. You can't level up your echoes with other echoes with the exception of pre leveled ones.

Im using the merge system to get to 15 faster because you have a chance to get a higher rarity of a echo you own, I've gotten a few purple echos that i used to have green as my highest so it saved me a lot of time of having to got farm that enemy for the purple.

3:39 You are correct, just a copy of the echo then you can unlock any rarity of them.

I reccomend merging for hugger rarity echos that you dont have when you first unlock the next rarity. Ots help a lot with your databank levels but only for people that dont have the time to grind them normally

When it says "youre fusing high level materials", it just means there was a boss unit in there, even if its a low rarity boss. When you saw the pop up, its cause you had a green rarity Crownless in there.

Mass kill everything in overworld and absorb till you reach union 30, then try get to data bank level 15 AND AFTER that you can start merging everything you have.

Lvl 31 union. As for pokedex i got a whole level and a half out of it at 17. Found one shiny. I just dump all def and hp main stats, plus some of elemental ones if i have too many. Leveling mats are a problem now, i don't sit on them and fields drops so little for a 60 energy cost. Honestly i would say don't touch fields at all for a while, unless everything else already covered and now you can just freely throw energy around.

I used this early to get some exp for the data bank since I was at a point where I could get purples, and managed to get a couple greens and blues to purple, which gave me some decent exp and saved me some time hunting down some commons.

man seeing you doing the gamba echo made me realise that i was lucky af that my first 5 star echo was aero with aero damage

I didn’t know this existed at first and deleted around 60 echoes to clear out my list since it didn’t appear to have any reason to keep the greens around while I was searching for purples. 5 minutes later: “what’s this tab? …oh”

From what I can see outside of the elements for the character/echo's attack's type the healing, energy regen, and attack types are the best o get if you don't get that specific element (as for why attack even though Volkin sounds disappointed when he gets it instead of fusion it'd be because the 5 set effect gives an attack buff to the entire party/next character in the rotation (one or the other) so it could be a good set for buffing supports of that element type (same applies to the healing and ER set as they're a great option to go for for your support/healers). I'd assume Mortefi could use the attack set well in particular as for characters released right now or for that healing havoc echo he got early on it could be a good piece for when a character releases who's a havoc type healer. But ya it sucks when you get say spectro with Aero and so on...is just as annoying as trying to get an element type cup in Genshin...granted this may be worst than even Genshin because you have the element for the set and then the element of the attack too...hell currently I'm grinding the monkey boss for a aero crit rate sub stat for my Jianxin (seems to always drop as Aero though but keep getting HP% or DEF%...granted could ignore it for now as I"m still not able to get gold yet. Oh and as far as the merge feature goes the best aspect of it is that it also only uses the echoes used and no other resources/money so you're not draining resources from weapons and so on when merging echoes...it's also an easy way to clear inventory when you hit the max cap of echoes you can hold (assuming there is one anyway...probably is...I keep needing to clear house every few weeks in Star Rail lately due to this lol).

I burned all my green ones as soon as i got the feature unlocked and dont really regret it. And yes, you can get new rarity that you dont already have by doing it

6:10 You had a boss Echo. Crownless echo on the bottom left. I think it's programmed to say any 4 cost boss echo no matter the quality to prompt you fuse or not.

It will give you new rarity to improve the data bank level. I went from 18-19 after doing all my greens/blues

definitely merge early and often for data bank exp. very easy way to lvl up quicker. also since rarity/cost only determines extra proc, its prolly not the best idea to merge 5 yellow right now? atleast until we find out what the %'s are for cost/rarity and soft/hard cap etc

yes you can get higher rarity level from the echoes I just unlocked a purple triggering my data bank entry when I only had the blue one registered

SAVE echos up and use them as soon as you unlock a new rarity to further improve your data bank level and hand farm the rest. Hand farming at 30/70 is actually much worse because at 0 purple/gold, rerolling can still advance ur data banck lv while at 50/50 u'll gain much less. rerolling late is actually worse timewise because u'll still spend a lot of time farming bad rates 30/70 before u get to 50/50 anyway. It is not only slower but also so much less efficient.

I used green shit to powerlvl the bank when i was on epic and saved a lot of time. You get higher quality and it fill the dex faster. You should ignore set bonuses this early in game and go for better stats (like crit rate).

As for rarity i can confirm you can get higher rarity than you got via this method as I used it yesterday to farm a few Data bank levels...at least up to purple (I'm under data bank 15 so can't get gold yet).

Pretty sure I got higher rarity echos from the ones I had when I combined some. At least my pokedex level increased during the combination process so I m like 90percent sure it works for completing the pokedex

I reached data bank 15 and i used merge on everything i had and i got a ton of gold ones which got me directly to 17 for the better gold chance

So with my testing you can do this as soon as DB 15 it will get you to around 17/18 then you will be hard lokced on getting more echoes thankfully you can do the Dreamless Farm and get a Dreamless echo every other run. Set Dreamless to lvl 40 kill in 15-30 secs if no echo leave and repeat thats how i did it. its not as efficient as if you stocked piled and wait till DB 18 but for me personally getting to that 18 without data merging was just a nightmare. so choose your path both are fine but who knows if they will nerf the dreamless farm.

People spoke about cheesing it by being a switching your world level back to 1 or 2 and farming all the low echos and wait the 12 hour cooldown to switch back to 15+ and merge into legendries.

It takes forever to level up your data bank... 6 hours yesterday strictly farming echoes and still only level 11 data bank.

Echo systems makes fighting bosses and mobs more fun, in genshin I would usually avoid fighting if I don't have to, in wuwa tho I'm on a murderous row, already got half of the mobs at 5 star

If you are merging a blue and you get a gold it gives you data bank lvl what you would of got for purple as well as the gold one in the same merge

After u attain the gold drops for echos then its time to get serious on farming echos and also stats

I did it at 15 and got up to 18 just by merging. I did 5 golds and got a purple. 5 of the same echo got me a different echo. I just throw in echos I don't need and hope for the best. It's not like it's hard to get echos, so I can just farm more.

Early echo merging is not a mistake. Equip the best ones you have and do some merging. There is a chance to get an echo you don't have or if a higher rarity. Getting new echoes is not a problem at all.

You are able to get gold without having gotten it before hand. I used a bunch of my greens when I hit 15-16 to skip some of the grind during 30% gold drop chance. That drop rate was rough

Purple is considered as higher rarity so it shows up like that...

If you think getting the right main stat on your Echo is hard, then wait untill you have to unlock the Echo substats and throwing them away because they were bad.

just merge from the start, this is because the usual 20% drop rate is much harder to level up the Pokédex u would rather fodder the ones u collected to level up the data base since 90%of non overlord or calamity echos will be useless into the mid late game, especially if they are not 3/4 stars.

I most likely won't use the feature much before I hit at least the higher chances to get gold. It will take a while, but getting purples 50% of the time would still feel annoying to me, I think.

how did you get to databank level 20? i have all 208 echoes(everything is leggy). Or shiny echoes counnt as a hidden ones and also give xp?

Nothing wrong with using it early. Echos themselves are basically infinite you can farm infinite amount of them from bosses if you have the time so strongboxing early for some decent pieces is perfectly fine for me. I strongboxed everything when I first unlocked 4 star echos

The merges do not count rarity. i only had blue of some and got purple. Also only had purple of some and got gold. I did this to help raise my pokedex level faster.

Im level 33 now. Got a decent roster of echos. (and can always farm more). My plan now is to save every single echo i get until i get to level 40. I will then mass summon. From a 50% chance to 80% chance. Honestly a big mistake to make is to over summon before hitting 40.

Extras are not always the same rarity I was playing around with this when I first unlocked it and I used a set of blues and got 2 purples and a blue

Rarity is based on your data bank level so you could have zero copies of a echo and instantly get a gold on your first farm at 16 data bank

I think merging from 15 up to 17 is the way to go, you said it would take 4 hours while data merge takes about 30mins to get you to level 17 with all the saved up stuff and then 50% drop chance you need only about 1-2hours to get to level 20

You probably have already found this out but at 6:15 the reason it says high rarity materials is because you are fusing a 4-slot echo/boss echo I believe. I got super confused when I was fusing all my blues and greens, and I had the same reaction as well Lol.

I had the same theory. It gets more difficult to level up after 17, so it's optimal point to spend those resources, BUT, now I think it's not good in practice for most players at the current state of the game because if at this point someone is reaching level 17, for data bank's next upgrade at level 19 they need to first level up their union level to level 40, which is a significantly bigger road block than data bank 17 to 19. So IMO if we've pushed through level 17 without merging echo's then it's better to wait till we reach union level 40 before trying using the merge feature because chances are we can naturally progress through from data bank level 17 to 19 before reaching union level 40

The mistake you should avoid is not reading. Read! Take your time its pointless to rush an rpg solo game. Only cc "needs" to do that. For the rest of us, just read everything, take your time reading the skills to make teams (specially intro/outro), check npcs. Enjoy the game its a great game inspite its imperfections.

Nah once you unlock the combine echoes start mixing them right away so you can level your Data bank right away. We are still in the early game the only matter right now is levelling data bank as fast as you can. The drop rate rating was only on doing combing echo but also on field drop rate. So Its better to start combining your low rarity echo once you unlock the feature to level up faster your data bank.
