Mess with Koko? This is your result. Anime: Jormungand Perfect Order episode 03 I do not own this video. It belongs to FUNimation EntertainmentL and White Fox
The irony here is important. Hex built up an identity around hunting down terrorists and criminals for America, but her extremism eventually led to her downfall; she ended up hiding in a cave in Iraq, and getting bombed by an American-made aircraft.
@@dicemaster1996 That adds more salt to the injury, if you ask me. Hex's death was enabled by American capitalism who sold that bomber to her mortal enemy
A lot of people claim overkill on this scene and that there are better/cleaner ways to do it. But that is not the point of this. It just shows Koko's anger. In contrast to a carefully laid out plan as usual, this is just a massive emotional reaction triggered by Hex offing R and trying to kill Jonah. This is just a glimpse into herself as a person and not a cunning arms dealer.
The fact that they made the bombs drop way in front of them really showcases that as well. Koko wanted her to see death coming. Fucking Ice Cold. But yeah screw that lady.
This is really a first class example of "show, don't tell" storytelling. There's so much of Koko's personality in this. Obviously, she used an American bomber on purpose, rubbing Hex's face in her own government's corruption, to show Hex that the people she works for are willing to do business the arms dealers she hates. A lot of times, bombs are shown with unrealistically fiery explosions, but in this case, I think the animators are aware of what real bombs look like, and Koko specifically chose INCENDIARY bombs. She wanted to burn Hex, like someone who wants to kill vermin and doesn't want to leave a mess. Burning a whole mountainside is also Koko's classic way of doing things: She's an arms dealer who isn't afraid to use her own wares, but she's not really a fighter. She prefers to win as quickly and simply as possible by using overwhelming firepower. It's also very impersonal. She doesn't send any message. She doesn't want to confront Hex or see her beg for her life. Pragmatism is pretty normal for her, so if she wants someone dead she has little reason to care about talking to them, but I think there's also another side to that decision. What Koko keeps secret is that she's emotionally vulnerable. She's certainly confronted her enemies before, but this time Hex killed one of her people and Koko may have found it too painful to actually talk to her or see her.
you left out how the effect of this type of ordinance used would not be easily detected by the eyes in the sky. as stated in the phone call Bookman receives after meeting with Ms. Hekmatyar and wishing a fare journey to the afterlife to R
funny enough that Hex is like a witch, charming men just to get what she wants. Koko went with a massive witch hunt using incendiary bombs just screams 'BURN AND KILL THE WITCH!'
Koko COULD have taken out Hex with a single precision A2G missile from a predator drone, but no gotta use that strategic bomber and bomb the shit out of everything. Jormugand way.
***** you didnt quite catch my point, if you dont trust anybody but your country, you will come out of hiding , if you recognize the sound of a plane of said country?
+jackhammertwo1 I doubt that was much a part of Koko's deliberations she wouldn't have left the result to waver Hexs actions. A hellfire could've done the job or if she wanted to a bunker buster could've brought the house down but I think she really wanted to make an example out of Hex hence the overkill haha
shes actually the first female protagonist i actually liked. In some way very similar to lelouch from code geass, though i loved the fact that she seems to exude a bit of a twisted, evil aura though i don't believe she is.
Koko: you *****, you killed R! Not only did you kill R, YOU MESSED WITH MY JONAH!!! NO ONE MESS WITH MY JONAH AND GET AWAY WITH IT!!!! Rains bombs and destroys whole mountain + 3 person
To all the people saying Hex should have stayed in the cave or fled back in there. At the beginning she was leaning against the furthest wall and the caveentrance seemed to be pretty close. 10 meters/yards at max. So even if she'd stayed inside the fire would have definitely reached her and if by some miracle it didn't there's still the force of the explosions and the sheer heat that's more than enough to kill her. There is no "what if she survived"-scenario for this one.
DC MarvelFan2014 The tunnels provided little protection from direct bomb strikes, they merely concealed the location of where to bomb. Many more VC died in those tunnels than the sum of American casualties despite the B-52s bombing blindly
exactly even if by some miracle she survived there is still a group of highly trained soldier there. its a no win situation that why hex shot herself rather than being bombed.
OMG the Vietcong Tunnel are no where the same as the cave Hex hide in! Hex's cave is like a big large open cave while the VC ones are tighter and way underground.
DC MarvelFan2014 don't speak what you don't know, B54 wasn't used by the American in Vietnam wars until very late. Tunnels and fortifications still collapsed and the lost on Vietnamese were massive. The only reasons the American didn't used B54 more often because there isn't any actual target and each bombing run are very costly.
Balalaika have a few good hand and experience and small group of armed troop (Ex-Soviet) some old weapon in afgan war Small Scale war tactic Koko have moderate Skill Crew (they specialist in they own way) Bunch of a crew(actually is a company ), Sat Intel,Drone, artillery and some of the koko's crew are on FBI blacklist AND FUCKING MURICA FREEDOM DELIVERER B-52 !! Ex-Soviet Cap VS Weapon Dealer it'd be fun
Koko has more money, connections, and a super computer satellite that can give her monopoly of communication (and basically technology). Koko's team will win.
The gun awareness in this show is next level as a whole, man, second to none. It was a bummer when the gang switched to masadas but that must’ve been so cool at launch
koko, valmet, chiquita, balalaika, revy and roberta... some of the females I know you should never piss off. specially koko, balalaika and roberta. I mean, hurt them all you want. but if you kill one of their family... you'll pay dearly.
Hex : YOU CAN'T KILL ME IF I KILL MYSELF Who is dumber the person trying to kill them self or the person trying to kill the person trying to kill them self
It's been implicated on a occasion that Koko is a straight up monster she put that whole nice girl act on to drop people guards. Just think about her pmc she only recruit the best and their scared of her. Considering that the carpet bombing of Hex didn't surprise me after she deaded R. Oh Yeah Fuck Bookman!
The second I realized she wasn't wearing her trademark goofy Slasher Smile, I knew something bad was about to happen... To Hex that is. No one messes with Koko's family & gets away with it. And that's where her team is to her, a family. She plays by Guild rules (Calamitous Intent): You throw a rock, they throw a knife. YOU throw a knife, the come to your house while you're asleep & murder your family. Long story, short, don't piss off Koko.
This video can improve that we can't mess with koko..... Otherwise you will be shot or you will dead with another ruthless way....actually the scary one is koko's private force... They will satisfy of koko order
revenge can do with a single of a sniper bullet....... or a ton of Mk 82 bombs and bomber didn't come to save Hex They Come to do their work "Bombing or delivery their payload"
not a damn thing, peace is a wonderful idea...and an ideal most people SHOULD embrace...but then the real world either slaps them down or just ignores them.
You know, I really hasn't been bad until you see your opponent retreating to a good distance, putting their guns down and picking up their video cameras.
Absolutely. The only problem that I have is that Koko is atleast partially to blame that the world "the Jornmungand world...not our world" is fucked up to begin with...if she wanted to make the world a better place, how about not selling wepons in the first place?!?
"at least drones and things of that nature are clean and easy..." As killing machines they're clean and easy with the job. You're completely ignoring the receiving side of these weapons aren't you?
And how exactly is that Koko's fault lol? At least she's attempting to fight for a noble cause, unlike all the other arm dealers out there. Jonah himself isn't exactly pure, so why should he condemn her for staining her hands in blood. A spoiled girl she may be, but compared to many of the people living on earth today, she's a saint.
So far I've not seen the big genius that Glass Reflection and others had promised. All the characters in the show talk about how smart she is but she never really lives up to it. I mean yeah she's alright, she can call for backup, guess roughly what days her enemies are coming for her, and hide her true emotions, but she's hardly on Light Yagami's level. At Least not yet anyway.
Trollovon Flidder What is the sort of intelligence you're looking for? being cunning and persuasive? coming up with a brilliant strategy against enemies? I think both Koko and Light pretty much do the same things, both with a grand scheme. The difference is that Light manipulates people through lying and I doubt he trusts them -- but ultimately he gets what he wants. Koko, on the other hand, is a very good judge of character and trusts in the skills of her men whose loyalties she actually wins. I mean, look at Jonah. Also, in the very end, she's able to dispatch her grand scheme for her idea of world peace no matter what she'd have to do making her a gray character. She succeeds. Light is pretty much drowning in egoism and had no one to rely on and he never got his goal. Koko did. Oh, and Light died.
I've seen the ending of Jormungand by now and I'd say it redeemed itself. Still though, throughout most of the series I wasn't that impressed with her intellect. Oh and for the record, Light's situation was completely different to Koko's so don't compare their victories and losses because that would just simply be unfair.
Trollovon Flidder Actually, their predicaments may be different but seeing who's "better" is knowing who succeeded despite the cards have been given. Both of them have tough enemies, both have an ace up their sleeve. Ultimately, there was a lapse in Light's planning so they found out who he was. The thing with Koko is that she's a boss and specializes with negotiation, but couldn't function without her goons. Light Is -- well, he has no goons but he can lie to people making them do stuff without their knowledge (which is brilliant). Koko's got a whole pack that's loyal to her so they basically function like a single unit. Light makes people work, but he's basically alone. But if you're going to say not to compare their victories and losses, then why mention that she's not in Light's level when they do things differently and they have different views? So the only point of comparison was if they got their goals despite everything.
Light was constantly being challenged by wits, he was always fighting and basically everyone was his enemy, and he did that for years. Koko was never matched by her wits, in fact the only person that seemed to be in her league of intelligence was working with her. She's obviously pretty smart to pull off a scheme like that in the first place, and to lead a squad like that, but at the end of the day she's just really good at giving orders and keeping secrets. Anyway the comparison between Light and Koko wasn't meant to be taken that seriously, it was more of an example. If anything I think comparing her to Balalaika from Black Lagoon would be more accurate.
Trollovon Flidder Well, if it's wits, conducting a business that's really crucial for the political atmosphere as well as the scientific community does take intelligence. I mean pulling off a stunt like that when basically nothing is hidden from her and she can pinpoint anyone or anything with her satellite and supercomputers is pretty tough. This isn't to say that Light is less brilliant, because being alone is always tougher. Light thrived that way. Koko is pretty much dependent with connections. Light isn't. But then, it depends on how you look at it. In some situations, having connections might be seen as smarter, but on some situations, pulling off something on your own is smarter. But yup, Balalaika is a better comparison. Hmm.. I think if it's intelligence that we're talking about, it's pretty much arbitrary. Light is on a league of his own, but he was defeated by the teamwork of Near and Mello and some stuff that L left behind haha!
Templars have the resources limitless wealth and influence (this isn't exaggeration)and more in line with Kokos world view although there vision is a bit grander. there plan is too rid man of all its weaknesses only this can any conflict. sure there have been corrupt people here but the true templars get rid of them fast assassins would will not get along with Koko there bit is peace through freedom and understanding Koko bit is a templarish and the price it will cost to make her world view a reality they would have huge issue with one tenements of the assassins creed is never harm an innocent kokos master plan will do just that.
GnosisZX templars, her method is more or less similar to them, control rather freedom. she want to control the flow of contact around the world with jormungand. the assassins see peace through freedom, they would let the world roil in chaos and freedom rather than with stagnating control.
Things too take note of: 1 Don't pick a fight with an arms dealer or you're in trouble 2 Don't pick a fight with a woman or you''re in trouble 3 Don't pick a fight with an arms dealer who's a woman lest you want to have your ass carpet bombed to hell.
Shows how inept her team is when put against mooks they ace but as shown in the series itself when put againts real soldiers like night nine the best they manage was run like hell and even then they needed a massive tech advantage to pull it off. Kokos no tactical genius. Just a lucky bitch with a lot of resources that aren't even hers. i seen smarter and better than her lelouch being one of em. and they had take out a small squad like that of hex with a bomber a real pro killers would put down kokos family then koko herself (hoping slow and painful death) her plan is so ineptly insane its silly something a child dreams off.
Huh? First of all, no pro killers would be able to deal with Koko's family so easily. They're powerful people with connections all around the world. Secondly, Koko was never a tactical genius. Her ability was based on negotiations and was pretty good at manipulating the big picture. As far as military tactics go, she's capable enough to stall elite forces. I'd say that's a pretty good portrayal of an arms dealer. Comparing her to Lelouch is beyond retarded. Lelouch aims to take over the world through conquest. His strategies are also largely dependent on Geass and crazy amounts of manpower. Koko's dreams are not realistic, but it's at least partially thought through to a great extent.
Lol Koko is not supposed to be a tactical genius, she is supposed to be a master manipulator and negotiator with very deep pockets and wide spread connections. All of that and a bit insane. Lehm is supposed to be the tactical expert and he does a good job at that. Night Nine are not simply "real soldiers" they are f-ing top elite soldiers. Koko's escorts are good but they are not THAT good for obvious reasons (they are not US funded for one, only two or three of them had special forces training for two). The fact that they could survive a fight with Night Nine is testimony of their skills. Also proposing to target Koko's family is pretty weak. If Koko has the resources she has, imagine her father the OWNER of the f-ing company that can track one person down and carpet bomb said person just for the sake of why not. He probably has some governments in his right pocket or, at least, owning him big favours for selling their shit.
why do the detail brain work when u can just control others into doing it for you. in one eps she manage to show off this skill during the fight in cuba, instead of strategically putting her soilder into fight postions, she just had someone else alter the gps. this connection power and have someone else hacking for you. a war of technology, far out smarted the person that use actual battle strategy.
GnosisZX ...the nine night were an elite navy unit. The fact that Koko's team couldn't beat them shows more how good the unit was and less how bad Koko's team. If you actually watched the episode and paid attention you would have noticed that even Plame (the guy directing the night nine) even said that Koko's team was tough.
